The Cat's knockout was good, but not as good as the shot that took out Tak.

Did Nelson fight this year?

On the UK scene I think Matt Skelton and Carl Thompson are as good as choices as any, In my opinion in the UK there has been no standout fighter this year.

Jones and Toney would have done everyone else at Super Middle.

Benn was outboxed by Sugarboy Malinga and Michael Watson, trouble is that I don't think Ottke hit as hard as either of them, against Benn, he would have had to have planted his feet at some point, and that's when trouble would have come knocking his door.

If I had to plump for fighter of the year I'd say Winky. He is something else that kid.

Domestically Thompson has done magnificently, but I still say he should not be fighting. As my old maths teacher said when I once got a B in a test: "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and again."

Am massively biased, but Michael Hunter is my fighter of the year on these shores. Just put him in with Esham next year and watch it all go off.

Johnson for me, three good wins in one year, two of them against P4P fighters in most people's lists.
