Yeah that would have been a great fight.

Unfortunately there will always be question marks around Miller now so any win he gets will likely be discredited whether rightly or wrongly.

His boxrec profile currently has him listed as “ inactive. “ his last appearance was over a year ago. Not sure if he’s still serving a suspension or if maybe he’s called it quits

No it’s cool. I don’t mind being corrected. Got my time lines confused. And I didn’t realize he passed up Joshua’s offers. If he did then that’s his fault. Shame really. He’s certainly one of the more qualified contenders at least in my opinion.

To be fair the offers he passed up were ridiculous low ball offers designed so Joshua could say "hey I offered Whyte the fight, but he wouldn't take it, therefore I can't be criticized for cancelling my April date at Wembley in order to fight the undeserving Miller at MSG in June"

Aweful fight? Like someone pointed out, he ran from two final eliminators that would have put him in perfect position. Now after pissing hot for PEDS, he should be thankful he isn't sitting for two years and just fight any top ten guy he can. (as long as it isn't Ortiz, the boogy man!)

Which two final eliminators that he ran from are you referring to?

If you are referring to him sticking with his O2 date to fight Parker, instead of going to Sofia to fight Pulev in an IBF eliminator. Then I agree we should have zero sympathy for him, in regards to going the IBF route to the title.

But Joshua also held the WBA and WBO. And Wilder held the WBC. So Whyte should really have gotten a shot in by now. But it looks like he won't until 2021. Bet he wishes he had risked his position against Pulev in Sofia now.

But personally I take issue with both Wilder and Joshua holding up the division. Wilder with his meaningless defences. And Joshua for fighting less than every 6 months even when he holds 3 of the 4 belts.

Yeah I have sympathy toward him on the Ortiz one; I can't get behind the WBC on that. I don't have sympathy on the Pulev one though. Whyte chose to relinquish his shot at the IBF. Pulev was the A side, Whyte should have travelled if he was serious about going the IBF route.
