Look above. Not Visa. But medicals. Same reason the Pfeifer was called off.
They said Pfeifers team did not submit them or something and Pfeifers team said they did on time bla bla.

Despite the late notice can't they bring in a British 'opponent' for a 6 rounder. Obviously Gorman's been out for a while anyway so a less demanding bout wouldn't hurt things and they could still get him out on the October show.
Seems to be an all or nothing approach.

Yeah, he went out swinging in the fifth and showed heart in doing so, but he was boxing like someone who realised he was physically outmatched. No shame in that, but it was more one-sided than most of us predicted.
I'd like to see him aiming for the likes of
Hunter and
Hrgovic and maybe winning a title somewhere, because I think those guys are about his ceiling. Not everyone has to be elite to have a successful, praiseworthy career.
Chisora's a fan-favourite, as was Danny Williams.
It's a good thing you're not his matchmaker because all of those guys put another loss on his record. At this stage, I'd be hesitant in putting him in with somebody like Christian Hammer.

I was saying that Chisora's quite popular despite his losses, so Gorman losing another couple wouldn't be the end of the world if they were entertaining fights.
And I wouldn't put him straight in with the other two, I'd be steering him towards peaking at that level. Like I said, I think they might be his ceiling for the possibility of a win. In tip-top shape I'd put him in with Duhaupas, but he's busy with Yoka, so I'd try for Schwarz. His record looks better than it is on paper, there's a marketing link with Fury, and it's very winnable.

He's popular because of his fighting style when he gets the KO's, he's popular because of the way he talks, what he says, the things he does at pressers.
Gorman has not got any of that though.

Chisora's hard as nails, too. Look at the calibre of fighter he's been in with, disregarding the fact that they might have beaten him. Vitali Klitschko, David Haye, Tyson Fury twice, Dillian Whyte. Only Fury, the absolute best In the world, had an easy time with him.
And Pulev, I suppose. That fights a bit dodge to me.

And you just know that he has no fear of any on them and in a street fight may well beat a lot of them.

Haye had a relatively easy time with him too, I think that shows how short of truly world level Whyte is.

Its his own fault, because he was so cautious as a heavyweight, but Haye was really quite a dangerous dude and even though he was the first person to properly KO Chisora I was there that night and Dereck gave him plenty of trouble. It wasn't 'easy' at all. It was exciting and seemed pretty even until he banged him out. Fury in the rematch (which again I was there for) toyed with him so much it was boring.

That rematch was really disappointing. I looked forward to it after the competitive nature of the first fight, but it was a different Chisora in there.

I think, in retrospect, it was more of a case of a different Fury.
But at the time of the first fight, Chisora had been fucked around by Wladimir who'd pulled out of the fight twice with 'injuries' but had really been used as a kind of bargaining chip to make the Haye fight (as Chisora was a brash black Londoner like Haye and so- in my opinion- Wlad never really intended to fight him, just used him as a way of building up the Haye fight, hence Chisora spitting water in Wlad's face before he fought Vitali) and so he came into the first Fury fight unmotivated with rolls of fat and tits and in his own words "depressed" because of the Wladimir run-around, and was still competitive in defeat, I thought that since he'd trained properly for the rematch he might win or at least make a better fight of it, Fury was just starting to prove how good he really was and didn't even have to get out of second gear to win.
I think It was a better Chisora in there, and a much, much better Fury.

The first fight wasn't really competitive either, Chis had a good second round but then gassed and got beat up inside for pretty much the rest of the fight and looked stoppable in the last few. Fury really is handy inside when he wants to fight there, he is stylistically the most complete heavy by miles atm
Of course winning maybe 2 rounds is better than winning 0 like the rematch, so maybe that gives the impression the first fight was competitive

I will have to watch it back, but I defo remember thinking Chisora had chances/spells in the first fight where he could have turned things in his favour.... but not thinking that once in the second fight.
Memory, however, is a funny thing and I wouldn’t bet anything on mine being right these days!!

I recall that he had a big burst in the second, where he rocked Fury a bit, but then was pretty much gassed and couldn't muster anything after that, and took a progressively one-sided beating up close. His lack of conditioning was very evident. came better shape for the rematch but Fury just wouldnt let him get close enough for anything

Often, I just remember a sense of something as opposed to detail. Think it’s my age!
This would explain why I had a feeling from the first fight that Chisora has his spells.

It's not writing someone off to say one day he might win British and Commonwealth. That's an achievement. Not everyone gets to fight for world titles. There's heavyweights around like Efe Ajagba, who is only slightly older and infinitely more talented.
WAS infinitely more talented.
He's got worse and worse of late - quite unusual how he's fallen off a cliff.

He also had a big eye-catching burst in the 10th, but Fury took most of it on the gloves and was back in control by the end of the round.

Gorman over a stone heavier from his last fight and it certainly doesn’t look like muscle. I’ve had a few quid on Lartey points at 25/1.
