All of them seem to have most of the right names, but not necessarily in the right order.

Do the WBA need to rank Trevor Bryan now he is interim?

His name ruins an overwise solid top 5

I have a theory that these orgs are almost like a scouting network, each taking a punt on fighters they see as potential champions....

They of course want to have the best guy wear their belt first so you will see some prospect suddenly appear on one org list, the others will have "missed the boat" so to speak.

It's the reason you see the 4 or 5 long time "contender" types who haven't had world titles appear on every org, because at a certain point they NEED to have those guys in their lists. Then the rest are sprinkled with random gatekeepers or a prospect.

The heavyweight division isn't the best example of this given the real lack of depth, but I see this kind of trend.

Yeah, also at Heavyweight you get a lot of fighters who have been on the circuit years and are past their primes, but are still ranked due to past exploits.

In other divisions these kind of guys would have had to move up once or twice through their careers, but heavyweights have nowhere else to go.

Heavyweight rankings tend to appear quite stagnant as a result.
