What do you consider him?
A boxer. A prospect to me is someone who has a chance of being an excellent fighter.
Fair enough. You're a tough audience! :TU:

On occasion, a boxer ends up better than I thought, but not often. If anything, it's the other way around.

He didn't show me anything special the couple of times I saw him.

He hasn't shown the development I was hoping for the last two times out. Ronny Shields is a decent trainer. I'll give Efe another couple of fights to show better skills, or else he's off my watch list. He has that power and a decent engine. The lad needs head movement and a better ability to to cut off the ring and keep his freakin' hands up.

He seems to lack identity. Is he a boxer, a power guy, or a boxer-puncher? He's just there.

Oh he's a power guy for certain.

I mean, if you were counting on him to be some elite smashing machine monster, ya, it hasn't been great lately, but still, look at the division as a whole, I can easily see him being solidly up there as one of the top 10 fighters a few years from now.

I stay up all night thinking about who he is and who he'll fight. He's SO relevant.

After few years in top 10 ?
I believe Ajagba can beat few top 10 as of today. Just because of one knock down, you are trashing Ajagba. Tyson fury got knock down by a cruiserweight too.

There is no point for Ajagba handlers to risk fighting top 10 and even he goes up very high in ranking, its takes another 2 year alone for joshua, fury, wilder to settle fighting each other ... it's all about them at least for another 2 years.

I'm 101% sure every promotor, manager and trainer in business is aware of this matter already.

Good points amigo!! Like you, I was one of Efe's biggest early supporters because of the raw power and decent skills he showed in his first 9-10 pro fights and thought he belonged on the fast track. He didnt even look that bad in his clearcut 10-round decision over fellow Olympian Demirezen, but against mediocre journeyman Kiladze he seemed to be regressing instead of progressing. Shields is a world-class trainer and needs to make some serious changes in Ajagba's game.

BOTTOM LINE: Efe is going to need a lot more work than I originally thought and I dont expect him to be matched up very ambitiously in the near future. He could turn out to be a top 10 guy eventually but it will take a lot longer than I thought before!!

It's pretty pathetic to constantly beg for accolades. I know you're almost always wrong, but it reeks of desperation seething about the time you were right last year. At some point, kid, you gotta grow up.

Not really. I retracted my post because I regretted the severity of the tone in which I previously conveyed my honest opinion. :TU:

It was poor judgement on my part, even though everything I wrote was entirely accurate.

I'm quite disappointed with marketing that Ajagba team doing on him. We are in about big fight wilder vs fury, they should do him lot of interviews and training footage with two above fighters brought up , so he can get lot of exposure.

I think for the reason Ajagba is most underpaid HW prospect, earning BULLSHIT 10k $ USD , so his team doesn't even care , because they haven't invested in him, and finally will dumb him if he can't perform or milk him until last day.

there is no point anyone doing any HW promo this week unless its wilder / fury
