If he had a weak chin we wouldnt even know his name because he relied on that chin for his entire carreer instead of proper defense. His gaurd is on the level of a brave first time sparring guy.

notwithstanding your diagnosis from watching it on TV, post-fight diagnosis, by doctors, who are qualified medical people, and who can actually see his ear and touch it, who are actually in a position to make the call a bit better than a man on the internet who watched it on telly- the conclusion was 'no ruptured eardrum'

However, I trust post fight medical reports about as much as a woman who says she 'doesn't really have mood swings.'

I`d say 9 out of ten. The first knock down against Fury was more of a punch/push to the back of the head and a slip. Second knock down was an off balance punch to the body. So I have to say chin is pretty darn good.

I find that hard to fathom. He was wobbly as hell. It certainly behaved like a perforated eardrum.

I think Wilder's chin is still much better than AJ chin. Do you agree?

Similar quality, they've both been down in 2 fights, both dropped and stopped by guys who aren't huge hitters. Aside from that Josh was hurt by Whyte, but Wilder was rocked by Molina and Ortiz. The edge would be more in recoup I guess, not seeing 'far' better myself

Definitely, but both are one of the few times I’ve seen this literal tree in the wind look. And Fury’s heavy mauling definitely made Wilder exhausted.

I’m expecting Wilder to never be the same & Fury get slightly better. Fight 3 I anticipate to be short, sweet and exciting. Like PAC-Morales 3. I think Wilder will land a few great shots, en route to getting broken and overwhelmed early-mid rounds.

Tyson leaned all over all him, grabbed and did everything legal and drained the sh_t out of Wilder.
Smart play once Wilder had shot his bolt.
Fury played it by the book, Wilder seemed like he knew it too, see Wilder's face he looked done early.

By the sounds of it, Fury is committing to developing under this style with Sugar Hill.

Very curious to see the results as there may be less explosive heavyweights than Wilder, but certainly heavier ones with greater physical strength. (I’d love to see Whyte get the opportunity as he’s a veteran of several brutal 12-round struggles, although less likely if Wilder does go through with the trilogy.)

Although you never can rely on what he says, I prefer this to the fiddling style, the Walcott style shuffling and Vitali style pecking at very long range.

Didn't SugarHill claim that he's seriously considering retiring from training pros? He wants to return to grass roots, byworking with young amateurs.

It's still very hard to say, but it appears to be somewhere between 6 or 7.

His balance and movement isn't very good, but he seems to recover fairly quickly making it hard to tell where his chin lets him down as opposed to his athletic ability. He's been down three times I believe, but one of those was a body shot. He's been shaken multiple times. He's been knocked out in the ams, which sometimes means something and sometimes doesn't.

He's never really faced a big puncher either, so I'd say the verdict is still out. I'd be fairly confident that its a 6 or 7 though. Definitely not as good as Wlad's, who had a reputation of being chinny.

Somewhere around 6.

He's got a 6 to 7 chin and good recovery, but it's only gonna decline now.

He's got pretty poor defence so he's taken a few. I've not seen him hurt by punches that wouldn't hurt most other HWs, in that when he has been rocked (and dropped by Fury, the Sconier footage I've seen is poor) I didn't immediately think, 'chinny'.

He recovered well when hurt Vs Ortiz and with Fury it's difficult to say - he was mauled. There's not many men that wouldn't have been tired and beaten in the same manner, regardless of their chin.
