Streaming platforms are always Gunna loose money early. Because at the start is where they need there best most expensive content to convince people to sign up.. then people just forget and pay till there credit card expires.
I used Stan for a month then I paid for Stan for 2 years without realising, just lazyness/bad organisation, but that's what they need to do to make money.
That's why I'm a fan of the celebrity fights, sure there painfully to watch, but if they can sign 50,000 kids with there mums credit card that then forget, that's half a million a month in the boxing budget to get shit done, (Sorry mums).

Adam Smith just got new role as Commercial Boss - Barney Francis also got promoted.
Francis's promotion means he is no longer head of sports -therefore he's not involved with Boxing as he was.
Smith's move to a commercial role is telling - apparently he'll still be doing comms aswell for a bit but the striking thing to me is he will be responsible for negotiating contracts - going to be tough for him to keep AJ if Eddie and DAZN offer stupid money when his contract is up,
Barney Francis has left/is in the process of leaving Sky Sports. Wonder where he could pop up next....

That’s the gamble though for them - set up yourself and hope you get 6 billion over 5 years or take guaranteed monies.
