Decent fight. Going into the 12th Doritcos still looks dangerous. Anything can happen I predict that Doritcos will make a go for it, will he succeed?
Re: Mairis Briedis vs. Yuniel Dorticos - September 26, 2020
I had it 117-111 for Briedis.

A referee mandated touch gloves at the beginning of the round? Utter horseshit, when the bell rings the fighters have the right to come out fighting.
Re: Mairis Briedis vs. Yuniel Dorticos - September 26, 2020
114-114 was a farce.

Ban the judge that scored it a draw

Excellent promotion. Dorticos goes from relatively unknown to known. A huge promotion with all kinds of gimmicks, world super six, muhammed ali trophy, promoter made the most of it. At 35 Mairis Breidis doesnt have much of a future in the sport however.
Re: Mairis Briedis vs. Yuniel Dorticos - September 26, 2020
If you give Round 1 and 2 to Dorticos, and then two of either 6, 10, 11, or 12 in addition to the 5th and 8th, which he clearly won, you could get there. I didn’t see it either though. Thought Briedis was clearly the winner.

A good fight. Briedis masterfully outboxed Dorticos as expected.

Briedis cruised it, 9-3 cards were right
Dorticos is just too limited for the elite

I don't know where either of these guys go from here. Both are too small for hw and there are really no great options at cruiser. I guess breidis could rematch glowacki but that isn't too interesting to me. Maybe someone moves up from 175?

The problems for them is that there is a long queue already for shots at the big names, who all seem to have a narrow focus of guys on their radar. if it was more of like the Klit era guys like them could move up with more of a chance of a big fight, im sure even with the size they could still contend, the division has very little depth of guys who are doing much

Dorticos could roid up to HW, for what purpose though I am unsure as there isn't alot of cash flowing in that division these days. Perhaps he could serve as a relatively safe stepping stone for the new star Efe Ajagba.
A Glowaki rematch does seem in order for Breidis.

Dorticos i had initially the impression was a big cruiser, but he is actually pretty soft already, might just be tall for the weight rather than particularly big

I wonder if we can get Briedis vs. Makabu now. Or if Briedis will chase Usyk up to HW.

Glowacki rematch?
Makabu?
Re: Mairis Briedis vs. Yuniel Dorticos - September 26, 2020
Briedis-Makabu can be decent. Briedis-Glowacki 2 isn't really intriguing. However, Briedis is the best at the CW in any case. And he's not young. He gonna move up and cash out, while he's still credible and can KO a couple more of charrs and the HW.
Re: Mairis Briedis vs. Yuniel Dorticos - September 26, 2020
I have at least 4 points for Briedis. I can't figure out the vote of one of the judges.

Re: Mairis Briedis vs. Yuniel Dorticos - September 26, 2020
With the dramatic ending to Briedis - Glowaki I and the large polish fanbase this fight is a diamond just waiting to be promoted. Also with Briedis being on the slide and some notoriety being available for anyone that beats him the upside for Glowaki is considerable.
Re: Mairis Briedis vs. Yuniel Dorticos - September 26, 2020
Makabu is clearly Mairis' best option
