Well he’s been to Saudi for the pilgrimage when he was fighting. But no one really says anything whilst doing a pilgrimage.

KG is hardly Naz is he?
What about when he's been to boxing events?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 06:23Well he’s been to Saudi for the pilgrimage when he was fighting. But no one really says anything whilst doing a pilgrimage.
There's a civil war in Yemen. Do they despise the side that Saudi Arabia is supporting?mickey1975 wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 07:11KG is hardly Naz is he?
I have loads of Saudi customers who train at a local RAF base. They despise Yemen.
Are you still not telling us why not?
No idea if he has even been to any there mates. I don’t think there should be an issue unless you start waving Yemen flags about.Pugilist-specialist wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 07:56What about when he's been to boxing events?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 06:23

Maybe. But I can’t imagine there’s a hard-core stateside boxing fraternity waiting for KG to appear before they subscribe to DAZN.
But he’s never going to be a guy who gets them subscribers.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 17:04He fought Toka Clary on DAZNPredatorHayds wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 15:32 Barry on DAZN???

Definitely. Apart from family members or friends, no one new is gonna subscribe to see him.PredatorHayds wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 17:07But he’s never going to be a guy who gets them subscribers.
Hes got talent but he’s not TV friendly.
He should go to Saudi if he wants the big money....Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 17:08Definitely. Apart from family members or friends, no one new is gonna subscribe to see him.PredatorHayds wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 17:07

If Barry had a world title would he be less marketable than Gavin McDonnell, Callum Johnson, Anthony Crolla and Jono Carroll?PredatorHayds wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 15:32 Barry on DAZN???

With your extensive knowledge of the Middle East you've already convinced us that he would be persona non grataCoco wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 17:10He should go to Saudi if he wants the big money....Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 17:08

I think Crolla had a high popularity factor.Pugilist-specialist wrote: ↑22 Mar 2020, 04:42If Barry had a world title would he be less marketable than Gavin McDonnell, Callum Johnson, Anthony Crolla and Jono Carroll?PredatorHayds wrote: ↑21 Mar 2020, 15:32 Barry on DAZN???

Would he be as marketable as Liam Smith, Billy Joe Saunders, Rocky Fielding and Kal Yafai?
I agree with you, pal.PredatorHayds wrote: ↑22 Mar 2020, 05:22
If he wins I’d expect Warrington to go for a third fight (May be another hard sell if the second fight doesn’t catch fire)
Can’t see anyone in a rush to unify with him. Maybe a couple of ‘soft’ defences on big undercards til an opportunity to pimp the title out as a B-side to a top-tier opponent who brings the cash to the table.
Crolla didn't take many to LAmickey1975 wrote: ↑22 Mar 2020, 09:50 Crolla did 15,000 at The Arena. Eddie wouldn’t risk KG at Sheffield arena. Even Kell struggles. Terri Harper sold most last time.
What does that matter when he nearly sells out at his own city?BigDoofus wrote: ↑22 Mar 2020, 10:18Crolla didn't take many to LAmickey1975 wrote: ↑22 Mar 2020, 09:50 Crolla did 15,000 at The Arena. Eddie wouldn’t risk KG at Sheffield arena. Even Kell struggles. Terri Harper sold most last time.
It's not really relevant to him getting a fight in LA.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑22 Mar 2020, 11:22What does that matter when he nearly sells out at his own city?
He was a big domestic star, in his own city. Not nationwide. He could probably take some fans around the UK with him, but there would be no need. Big enough arena in Manchester, whether he headlined or was co-feature.BigDoofus wrote: ↑22 Mar 2020, 11:27It's not really relevant to him getting a fight in LA.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑22 Mar 2020, 11:22

Apparently a deal is close for a Warrington vs Xu unification when boxing comes back. Xu will be made full WBA champion when Tank vs Santa Cruz gets made
Worth watching what Russell Jr does now that Tank vs Santa Cruz is going to happen, previously hes said he'll move to 135 if he doesnt get a big fight next. Galahad would fight for the vacant WBC, going off the rankings if this happened. Another possibility is that Russell Jr has previously issued a "come and get me" to Hearn, Hearn said he wasnt really interested because of the inactivity, but now it could solve problems. Do Russell Jr vs Galahad and Warrington vs Xu, winners fight after.
The world is almost in lockdown but when boxing resumes the IBF mandatory will be about due.
