Yup, acknoweldged that, and as clearly stated there's often a lag between that and when the ref actually waives it off--obviously the ref has to stop it before the timekeeper does too, as the latter is a reaction to the former. Happens all the time. If Steel let that fight continue instead there are 5 seconds and not 2
Besides, even 2 seconds is enough for another shot, and Taylor looks pretty defenseless there
