Oh! You really have faith in Ortiz. Lets see what happens if they fight down the road. Still holding Crawford as a favorite.
What Ortiz is he even talking about?
My mind is blank about currently relevant contenders who'd be a threat to Crawford in any way named Ortiz.
he means Vergil

Oh ok. Kid seems a hell of a long ways off from fighting the Crawford's of the world to me. I guess he may get there in 4 years time, but it won't be anytime soon.

He is ~21 in boxrec ranks. 1-3 fights against opponents in the top 15 and could challenge the top ww. He is among the 5 new talents worlwide.

The kid(I think he is talking about) got a 100% K.O rate but only 15 fight. Needs to be tested for real before Crawford, but Im not seeing him as a threat. More like another lamb to the slaughter, but I give everyone a shot.
Going by my gut, the kid got nothing against Crawford. He might have some guys with good records but, meh. Not saying much about him. Other then he has always won by K.o.
That is not enough against a p4p-fighter.

Alexander Besputin would beat Crawfords overrated ass.
Kavalauskas dominated and knocked down Crawford in the first half of their fight, and Besputin is much better than Kav

"Terence Crawford: They Have To Pay Me More To Fight Without Fans"
Terence Crawford understands that it might be necessary for his next fight to take place inside an almost empty venue.
If Crawford were to box without fans in attendance, however, he’d expect promoter Bob Arum to guarantee him more money. In addition to his purse, Crawford is paid a percentage of ticket sales, which wouldn’t exist if coronavirus concerns temporarily prevent fans from attending boxing matches once this pandemic comes to an end.
Crawford offered his thoughts on competing without fans as part of Chris Mannix’s most recent Sports Illustrated boxing podcast.
“Well, I haven’t heard of that yet,” Crawford said. “But at the same time, if it was to happen, then they have to pay me more. You know, they have to pay me more because fighters of my status and on my level, we get paid for the people that’s coming there as well. So, you know, if I can’t get paid off of people coming, then I’m gonna have to get paid up front.”
The 32-year-old Crawford would be willing to extend his time off between bouts if it meant allowing fans to attend the next card he headlines and paying the unbeaten WBO welterweight champion appropriately.
“You know, you’ve gotta pay me, you know, to go up there and do what I do because it ain’t free,” Crawford explained. “Just like people gotta pay, you know, to do anything else in the world. You know, you gotta pay us fighters because, you know, we’re taking a big risk and [a] health risk at the same time. You know, you can’t play boxing. You know, one false move and you can be six feet [deep].”
No matter how the COVID-19 crisis impacts economics in boxing, Crawford (36-0, 27 KOs) won’t accept less money than his contract guarantees for his next bout.
“Nah, I ain’t ready to do all that,” Crawford said. “I done took less money, you know, almost my whole career, you know, just because I knew where I was trying to go and what I was trying to accomplish. So, you know, we past that part [of my career].”

Why is he saying 10 times "you know", is he stupid?
What crawford doesnt understand, everybody has to take pay cut during coved crisis. Footballers in europe get less money, workers get released from their job.
Crawford whining about always in his career having been less paid. He is stupid.
First change the way you box you tentative boring boxer. Second you had the chance to join pbc and make ppv $ against the top ww from pbc.
Now you want extra money during coved times

The majority of sporting events, including boxing, will inevitably generate far less revenue for the foreseeable future, due to a combination of the lockdown measures, coupled with the worldwide recession.
That being said, Terence Crawford supposedly has a $3m per fight guarantee included in his contract with ESPN/Top Rank. This is supplemented by receiving a percentage of the gate receipts.
Bob Arum has several options:
1) Adhere to the terms of the contract and pit Crawford against any less-than-stellar opposition that are willing to compete for peanuts, but this may frustrate ESPN and adversely affect viewing figures, revenue generation etc.
2) Adhere to the terms of the contract and pit Crawford against marquee names, whilst acknowledging that Top Rank/ESPN may potentially incur losses, due to the size of the fighters’ purses being greater than the revenue being generated
3) Top Rank/ESPN refuse to consider staging any boxing event involving Terence Crawford, until the coronavirus pandemic has ended, and the economic climate has improved, resulting in Bud being inactive for the next six to twelve months or so (similar to Andre Ward’s lengthy period of inactivity)
4) Release Terence Crawford from his contract and allow him to become a free agent, which isn’t necessarily unlikely, since Bud’s ESPN viewing figures are unimpressive (in comparison to what the PBC/Fox achieves)
Terence Crawford’s only outing during the last twelve months, was his bout against the anonymous Egidijus Kavaliauskas, which resulted in a 40% drop for his non-PPV event viewing figures.
And it’s clear that Terence Crawford is flatly refusing to compromise his wage demands, which places him in a tricky situation, especially considering the current economic climate, compelling other sportsmen to accept pay cuts.
I’ll be interested to see how things unfold, because at this point in time, Crawford’s career isn’t going anywhere… and that’s not me being facetious either.
By the way, my post isn’t criticising Terence Crawford’s pugilistic skills nor is it attempting to undermine his pound-for-pound credentials, it’s actually about his career progression or lack thereof.

I guess we all still need entertainers, heroes and role models. All of them actors to some extent but the trouble is many of them are totally false. Greedy and self centred beyond words. Cocooned in a bubble of wealth talking crap.
Any concern for the fans is as fake as the backtracking many celebs will now have to do after publicly whining over the hardships of the Covid lockdown whilst being 'trapped' in their multimillionaire ranch-like mansions.
Totally oblivious to the fact they may have certain responsibilities too and probably giving their agents heart attacks.

Hasnt fought one "name" opponent in his whole career (except for prime gamboa, who is 5'5 & a natural super featherweight) and acts like a superstar. When in real world he has 0 fanbase, a boring style and brings poor ppv numbers.
He is a good twitter warrior, going after charlo bros & thurman etc.
But ones a "name" opponent comes up in disscusion in prime Porter, than all of the sudden "oh no, we friends, no fight possible"
Had the chance to join al, what does he do
"Oh no, no pbc, i stay with bobby and keep fighting c level unknown opponents"
Reminds me of ward. Boring inside & outide the ring. Atleast ward fought the best.

Are you the mechanic that Crawford roughed up?

Did someone say Crawford was boring? I’d suggest they watch him fight. P4P right near the top of not numero uno.

Crawford is good but overrated, probably cause hes the only American in the top 10 P4P right now. No chance is he number 1 like some xenophobic US fans claim.

The Postol and Burns fights were very dull.
P4O wise I have Lomachenko, Alvarez , Usyk, Inoue, Beterbiev - better than him

Sounds about right. I got him #5 on my list.
I don't rate Beterbiev on a P4P level though. That being said he is very exciting to watch.

I thought the postal fight was a brilliant performance. Even if it wasn't your cup of tea, that's two fights and neither was anywhere near as dull as Tyson/Smith or Ali/young. But I know how you roll jip.
