Pedrosa was a faded great. McGuigan then got badly stopped vs a journeyman. He was a good fighter, but not a great one. He never seriously wanted Azumah either. I've read that he never did that fight any favours.
Yawn...is there any fighter you are prepared to give their due to? you come on here a lot and just slag fighters off? why do you bother? are you a boxing fan at all? You want to make a list of fighters a. you have praised and b. you have slagged off? Cos i know which one is longer buddy.

McGuigan looked great when he won the world title, and that was it. He never, and I mean never, shone again. I was embarrassed at how mechanical Bernard Taylor made him look in his first defence, then Danilo Cabrera, a durable guy who was later massacred by Julio Cesar Chavez, made him look even worse.
Then came Mr Cruz.
If McGuigan goes in, so does Hodkinson. He made one more defence than the Irishman, and looked good doing it.
