Competition was stronger back then because more people boxed, and Breland was a youngster, not older.

I was at the Wincobank the day Wilt Chamberlain came in and smashed everyone with a jab. You might say that's easy, what with his height, but his arm was in a sling at the time.

And I looked at him — straight to his face like — and said “Well that's all very well, Wilt, but have you ever thrown a kettle over a pub?”. Never saw him again.
