They could only fight what was in front of them, Alp. Not all of them were thrash. Some of those opponents were very good. Like I have said in Pep's example. He beat 9 in rematches against opponents that were champions or top 10 contenders. He probably beat more top ten contenders than that. What your Ring Record Book says? That is a good reference!

Obviously Pep was a great fighter. Just find it interesting that fought 10 guys twice that weren't even ranked in the top 10. As I said, sometimes a guy just takes a fight against a live body. Back then, you sometimes just had to fight whoever happened to be available. Should not count against him when rating him. Or for him.
