In other words, you lied. You can’t prove your accusations, so you resort to random Tourette’s style remarks.
You accuse me of being a liar very frequently, but you NEVER quote my words.![]()

If they rematch in December or later whyte wins. He wont trade and i think hes good enough to outpoint an old povetkin
If it happens sooner i dont think whyte will have recovered properly and hes looking at another ko loss

Re: Alexander Povetkin turns 41, after 2 weeks
He wasn't really being all that aggressive or tradey or anything tbh, he actually kinda stood back after scoring the kds and then to start the 5th
He was bouncing Pov off the canvas so easy once he started to let the punches go a bit, I wouldn't have too much confidence in either of these guys tbh, obviously they can both hurt the other easily. Whyte was looking clearly ahead until that ending though and I think should be the one winning most the rounds again, but can he avoid the big shot?
You get the sense that either of them isnt really that far off being ko'd at any point, Pov's legs are shakey and Whyte has that characteristic vulnerability + obviously already been ktfo by the dude

I always thought that boxers automatically received mandatory medical suspensions after suffering from a stoppage defeat.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑24 Aug 2020, 14:03 If they rematch in December or later whyte wins. He wont trade and i think hes good enough to outpoint an old povetkin

I’m not sure about the duration of their imposed inactivity, but Whyte won’t be allowed to even spar for at least a month.
So I’ll be surprised if Whyte is allowed to make his ring return earlier than mid-November.
Re: Alexander Povetkin turns 41, after 2 weeks
Giving this is heavyweight boxing and that Povetkin is a bonafide world-class athlete that has always relied on stuff beyond one's age (how to go inside and pack a precise punch, deflect a shot and recover after a KD), Dillian has his younger age and better condition going for him in this situation. Sure, he was doing a great job in the first 4 rounds but he always gets sloppy during some bits.

White is aging compared to povetkin? I'm actually glad I'm not seeing too much of this being a lucky punch. Yet a guy climbing off the canvas twice the previous round to land a lead uppercut one punch ko in the next stanza being an overwhelming favorite to repeat is odd.

I was right, the BBBofC has imposed a 28-day medical suspension on Dillian Whyte, meaning he won’t be able to spar or compete in an official bout for four weeks.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑25 Aug 2020, 09:00I always thought that boxers automatically received mandatory medical suspensions after suffering from a stoppage defeat.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑24 Aug 2020, 14:03 If they rematch in December or later whyte wins. In the scheme of things, it doesn’t really affect anything, because Whyte wasn’t going to make his ring return until late November (at the very earliest).
Re: Alexander Povetkin turns 41, after 2 weeks
This fight made mainstream news in Australia. I read that Whyte was dominating, decisively winning all preceding rounds. I don’t agree. Povetkin was busy and scoring, all rounds, barring 4, were close with Povetkin winning some. We saw a very controlled Whyte, very much bidding his time. That was a mistake I feel (in hindsight). In my opinion, almost everything Whyte landed seemed to hurt Povetkin but his punch output was low and Povetkin rallied hence the close rounds. It seemed like it was a matter of time though...but then ‘that’ punch happened.

Re: Alexander Povetkin turns 41, after 2 weeks
The 1st and the 2nd were very close and could go either way. Povetkin even wasn't much dazed after being down, but some wackos see it as an absolute dominance of Whyte.lazboy wrote: ↑26 Aug 2020, 05:54 This fight made mainstream news in Australia. Not absolute dominance by any stretch but I really did feel Povetkin looked vulnerable, very vulnerable and I don’t favoUr him in the rematch.DrDuke wrote: ↑26 Aug 2020, 05:56The 1st and the 2nd were very close and could go either way. povetkin was on the verge of being knocked out and just went for it , he couldnt have gone another round .I saw him shaking his head between rounds 4 / 5 indicating to the corner he was goosedlazboy wrote: ↑26 Aug 2020, 05:58Not absolute dominance by any stretch but I really did feel Povetkin looked vulnerable, very vulnerable and I don’t favoUr him in the rematch.DrDuke wrote: ↑26 Aug 2020, 05:56The 1st and the 2nd were very close and could go either way. I do not think Whyte is shot.
But fighters can easily be shot at 32. Age is not the only thing that defines prime

Re: Alexander Povetkin turns 41, after 2 weeks
The 1st knockdown wasn't much, but the 2nd one was quite heavy - he tried to break his fall but couldn't. He definitely benefitted from the minute off. I agree though he wasn't that badly hurt - 90 seconds later he had a clear enough head to land that beautiful knockout blow.DrDuke wrote: ↑26 Aug 2020, 05:56The 1st and the 2nd were very close and could go either way.
