Some of the hate on here for Bellew, I just don't understand.

Good fighter, engaging character, calls fights very well and achieved a hell of a lot as a fighter.

I think he deserves more respect.

I agree with a lot here, he is underrated as a fighter and gets lots of stick, though i dont think he calls fights well

Since he's started talking about working with the WBC to add a Super Cruiserweight division he deserves not one shred of respect. He deserves for strangers to walk up to him and kick him in the balls every time he leaves his house.

Nathan Cleverly was a prick. Absolute bellend. And grossly overrated himself. Just another average fighter..

Really like tony and never understood the relentless stick he gets for being a loving family man and regularly pointing out the dangers/politics of the sport. I mean you 'd expect it on social media, but on here you 'd think posters would understand how much talent and dedication is required to win a single ABA title, let alone 3! He was Obv doing something right.

Plus he was one of the few fighters to escape the wrath of FW.

He’s an insufferable gobshite. Decent career so fair play to him but to listen to him and his mates you’d think he reinvented the wheel. A complete company man at Sky who says what he’s told to and is more of a salesman than a pundit.

There was rhetoric going into Bellew’s challenge to Usyk that Tony was the best Usyk had faced.

I felt that was nonsense. And it was proven when Bellew folded once he’d run out of tricks and slick moves. The great Usyk had to win the hard way versus Briedis, using all his skills to outhustle his man over the second half, in elite level exchanges. Usyk has to be at his best every second and had to fight his arse off from rounds one to 12.

Briedis is quality. Very slick and very awkward. And he’s still producing outstanding work. Between controversies and mauls, of course. Whereas Bellew cashed his vacant title out into two embarrassing novelty fights with a crippled David Haye.
