I already said I was. I said I'm watching tonight, and that's it. Not gonna be watching another Boxing match for the foreseeable future.

Going to do my best to put this BS out of my mind though, and enjoy tonight's fight for what it is.

Good for you, boycotting calls are gay though. I didn't miss it a bit when it was shutdown and I've watched 2 or 3 cards since it came back.

Not if we get more fights it isnt !

smaller HW guys who are currently unable to really compete at the top due to sheer size differnces .
Like who? Povetkin and Wilder have been able to compete just fine. Usyk just moved up to HW even though he can still make the CW limit with no problem.

See you soon.

Terrible decision by the way, how the fornicate is this gonna play out? The WBC has a belt for this garbage division but no one else?

Hopefully Tyson Fury stands up to the WBC and throws his apparently now WBC "Super Heavyweight Championship" in the trash. It'd take a big star like that to stand up for Boxing and do what's right.

He doesn't need their belt. He's the Heavyweight Champion, and we know it. He can stand up to this, and save sanctioning fee money in the process by doing so.

They all start with one.

None of 'em have been before have they? Certainly not 130, 140, 154 or so on.
I have no idea of the history. The weight classes have to be approved by the athletic commissions who actually sanction the fights, right?

Commissions! If there was a commission they might have a prayer. Why would they care if two heavyweights under 225 fought for a paper title? I am amused thinking about the inevitable announcement that Andy Ruiz is fully dedicated for a run at a second division title and still weighing 280 pounds.

I mean the whole thing is silly. Assuming anyone who can physically make 225 fights there, you're gonna end up with a SHW division where the rankings look like:

1. Fury
2. Ruiz
3. Whyte
4. Chisora
5. Pulev
6. Martin
7. Joyce
8. Kownacki
9. Bakole
10. Breazeale

What an absolute dogshit division. Can't wait for that Fury vs. Ruiz megafight.

Joshua isn't going to be shaving off 20 pounds of muscle. He probably weighed 225 when he was 14.

He weighed 237 for his last fight, with no weight cutting. He can weigh in at 225 no problem, without losing any muscle.

No way in hell he does that and yes it would muscle. Good that he dropped some, that's too much.

You could be totally correct that he would never do it, but guys that size can cut 15 pounds for weigh-ins and then gain it back for fight night, no problem. Basically every UFC LHW does it.

No UFC light heavyweights can carry 255 with abs. I'm right that he won't and I'm right he would have to lose muscle to do it. He's a huge man.

Most UFC guys have a wrestling background and are used to absurd cuts. He could probably pull it off, but not being healthy and has zero reason too. He purposely leaned down for movement against tubby. I'd bet he's back in the mid 240's for the sleep inducer.

Again, you are likely totally right that he wouldn't do it. But most UFC LHWs are ~225 in the ring and drop 20 pounds for weigh-in. And they are smaller guys than AJ.

This is a step in the right direction but the correct way to do this would have been:

Super Cruiserweight 210 7.70%
Cruiserweight 195 5.40%
Jr Cruiserweight 185 5.70%
Light heavyweight 175 4.20%

Still one has to applaud the WBC for its vision and courage. It looks like the WBC has now shown why we need strong boxing organisation and I hope that this is the future, brave correct policymaking instead of only creating a bunch of bronze silver gold stone concrete titles etc and charging sanctioning fees for them.

Next on the agenda should be reducing ped testing which has wreaked havoc on this sport while not benefiting anyone.

Yeah. The NFL needs to start seeing Boxing's vision and have a Superbowl. Jr Superbowl and Super Duper Bowl.

I'm just someone who cares. Probably more than I should.

Just wish the Boxing world at large would ignore the WBC and make their decision irrelevant, but they won't.
