Usyk may not have the dynamite KO power of the stereotypical perfect heavyweight. But when you are as technically good, and able to place punches accurately, then any trained boxer around 15st is gonna possess a punch hard enough to hurt you.
Usyk makes no pre fight intention to Ko opponents, he is a boxer who aims to out box them, if they fall apart as Tony Bellend did and can't make it the full 12rnds then that's merely a bonus.
I think too many people are giving Joshua and Fury too much credit based merely on their size difference. Joshua is big and strong, but limited as Frank Bruno was; Joshua fights by numbers and I don't think it's too difficult to imagine Usyk avoiding and outboxing him for 12rnds .. would anyone be surprised if Usyk timed Joshua coming in and had him all bendy-legged?
Fury is more awkward an opponent because of his size and unorthodox approach .. but I think a very orthodox approach is a way to beat him.
Joshua is better than Bruno. However, I slightly favor Usyk over Joshua. Yet Fury is too much for Usyk.

Joshua is very similar as Bruno that he uses physical size & strength to overpower opponents; neither have/had a boxing brain. Joshua may be slightly more fluid than Bruno, but Bruno had a better chin .. Bruno just didn't know what to do when he was hurt, whereas Jodhua's legs go all bendy when tagged.

Joshua still has more brains than Bruno. You got that right about his superior fluidness. But chin - it's not clear yet. Joshua wasn't out cold, he rather looked clueless after Wlad dropped him and when Ruiz was battering him.

When Joshua is hurt his legs go. Take a look when Wlad knocked him down how his legs stiffened right up on him - and when Ruiz tagged him how his legs resembled Amir Khans. Different brains react differently when rattled; Brunos just paused so he didnt know what to do ... Joshuas just turns off his legs.

Joshua's punch variety is much better than Bruno's and AJ's stamina far exceeds Frank's.

There are nuances of course; both good and bad. But ultimately Joshua is a big guy who fights by numbers like Bruno.

Possibly/probably but do you not see more ability in AJ to solve problems put in front of him too ?
Bruno was very driven, but didn't seem able to vary tactics the way AJ has on some occasions.
Apart from his near catastrophe against Jumbo Cummings, Bruno has never dug himself out of a hole the way AJ has e.g. Whyte and Klitschko.

As said; one of the differences when hurt was that Bruno`s brain would kinda pause .. which inevitably meant he was finished; Joshua`s legs appear to go wooden, he managed to keep himself out of trouble with Wlad, and almost Ruiz.
I wouldnt say Joshua changed plan mid round to adapt; he merely went into survival mode until his legs woke back up.

I think fans expected more from Usyk and Chisora is underrated. Also lot of fans did not like that "running" in boxing. Anyway IMO Usyk got a solid win here, watched that fight again ain ive had it 116-112 for Usyk.

another bizarre reaction to a usyk fight
dubs shoulda won by ko on a punch where the entire scoring area of his glove was below the belt
stoppage was early even though dubs didnt pull himself up to 9.5 and clearly wanted no more - very similar to jj fight
dubs did better than aj did in the rematch vs usyk, even though he won fewer rounds, got dropped twice, and stopped. dubs now beats aj on their showings.

not sure what that has to do with any of those points
ah that makes me remember it's dubois birthday in a couple week, turning 26 - an age where josh had beaten whyte, breazeale, martin and won the ibf, not some wba 2nd place trophy. didnt get stopped by jabs every time he faced someone in the top 20 either.
