You make my point. Tszyu should have stayed amateur for seven months and won Olympic gold.

PS: Put those old copies down and get on with it.
You can't even make your own point! Kostya would not have been a certainty to win the gold.
Jog on. :TU:
I don't jog, boy. I run. :TU:

Incidentally, I wasn't joking about the Canadian Mark Leduc. He "came out" after the Olympics.
David Haye is next I believe.

Bennie, don't you think that's a bit below the belt, that's how rumours started about Lewis....

Yep I reckon Haye is a prime candidate to go over to the Dark Side.

Do any of you guys think that the age difference and the fact that Tszyu has only had three fights in the last three years, be the decided factor in the Tszyu/Hatton fight?

Yes, I do give Hatton a chance, Tszyu is a terrible starter, Hatton the opposite. If this goes to past 4, then I think its Tszyu's fight.

Tszyu is at an age where he can just go and for that reason I think Hatton will never get quite enough credit should he pull of the upset.

Yes, when I spoke to him he made it clear he should have retired by now, maybe he hasn't got the hunger anymore, although I am sure Sharmba Mitchell would disagree.

This may work in his favour, save on wear and tear. Layoffs don't seem to affect Tszyu as a lot of other fighters
probably because he has such long training camps, plus the excellent amateur background.

He said if it hadn't have been for the layoffs he would have retired by now

I think the layoff has done him good - certainly seemed so against Mitchell he looked as sharp as I have seen him.

In that case he obviously sees these last few fights as a chance to cement his legacy, Hatton, Gatti, Mayweather, DLH retire.

Gatti, Mayweather and DLH will all cement his legacy if he beats them. Beating Hatton will have no bearing as he's considered over protected and rightly so the fodder he has been fed in the majority of his fights.

He's only fighting Hatton as the other guys are not available.

I'd love to see Tszyu v DLH that would be a corker.

interesting fight, not sure that oscar really has it any more, Tszyu is a harder man physically, and trains a lot harder too. Tszyu has never struggled against movers, but he hasn't faced one as good as oscar, i reckon that tszyu would probably have the edge in strength, but he would be well outsped, and Oscar does have a world class chin, something which Judah didn't. At welterweight, Oscar may have some dynamite back in his fists too.

Oscar all the way , Zoo over the years has lost a lot of his cat like reflexes while still a great boxer Oscar is still fast enough to catch him , while Zoo has a good chin, at welter Oscar would have too much fire power. Zoo has tremendous power but Oscar has a tremendous chin

Oscar just a bit too big for Zoo at welter , just don't think that Zoo would take Oscar out but Oscar could take him out be an interesting one thats for sure, and its one i reckon may come off especially if Zoo can do a demolishen job on Hatton.

Hmm, not so sure, Oscar hasn't looked a puncher in a long time now, beating up on York boy campas isn't really a good indicator.

Hasn't looked a puncher because he is fighting out of his weight devision but still KO'd Vargas.

I think there is a fair bit left in the tank, more I would say the Tszyu.

vargas is damaged goods though, he was fighting with a thyroid problem, that's why he's been struggling like a motherfucker to make weight.

Thing is though, Zoo has and stopped opponents in his weight , not walking around weight , but in his fighting weight.

Oscar has fought well above his fighting weight, and still stopped or hurt fella's a lot bigger and heavier.
Oscar will make welter with no problem , Ask you this would Trinidad, Storm ,Fargas, make welter , I seriosly doubt it.
The fact he can hurt these guys says he has just has much if not more firepower than zoo. Don't get me wrong i'm zoo's biggest fan , and Zoo will go down with a legacy, but i seriouslty doubt he will have a legacy has a 2-3 time differnt weight champ in fact I think we all know that,

But his legacy will be has the absolute king of the jnr welters for 10-who knows years, for my money Jeez what would you do if you were Kosta , stay where you are and be rich and undisputed for history or risk it for the big dollar fight with Oscar where your legend is up for question, and you already have enough money.

Hard one . but relisticly I think he would go for it , thats why we all admire him so much.

Who knows, maybe Kostya will be even strong at welterweight, he may benefit from being able to not spend as much time losing weight.

It's a fight I really want to see, I'd have rather have seen him against Mosley at light welter a few years back, but this is will be a good make-do.

I think Oscar might have trouble beating someone like Spinks though.
