Your list looks very reasonable, though I personally wouldn't rank Ruiz so highly. After what he showed in Joshua II fight I think he just lacks motivation at this point, but of course his resume is decent - I watched Parker-Ruiz twice, had it 115-113 Parker and 114-114 so I get why people rank him so high. My prediction is that Wilder and Ruiz will never be back to their peak.Heretic wrote: โ18 Nov 2020, 16:01 Finally found the time for this![]()
I am basing my rankings on who the guys have beaten. On my score cards. Newer guys will get to my list when they get the actual wins to prove their place. Learned my lesson from Price![]()
1. Tyson Fury
Has the best wins on hes resume for recent years. Wlad was great win. Wilder is pretty good win too. Twice on my books.
2. Anthony Jsohua.
Has good list of wins also. The loss to Ruiz and tentative win from rematch pushes him behind Fury for me.
3. Andy Ruiz
Has the best single win from recent years. I hope he gets good fights soon. I had him winning the Parker fight.
4. Povetkin.
Has only losses against the best guys out there. Great win for him in Whyte who I ranked really highly before hes loss to Povetkin.
5. Usyk
Dominated cruiser. Gassiev and Briedis would be good HW fighters too. Hunter has done pretty well too. Draw with Povetkin is good result. Usyk beating Chisora proved that he can hang with the big guys in HW. Not many will press you like Chisora does. Remains to be seen how well he actually does. I am looking forward to it.
6. Wilder.
Lacks good wins. Two losses to Fury and the second one was decisive. Not coping well with the loss. Lets see if he can bounce back.
7. Whyte
Good wins in recent years. Getting caught against good boxer in Povetkin is no disaster. He will get back on the track.
8. Parker
Has the skills to get higher on this list. Got bit unlucky against Whyte. Lost because of the head clash. Well loss is a loss so I rank hime behind Whyte for now. Fa is not going to affect this really. If he wins that is. And he should.
9. Pulev
I used to rank him much higher. Way too inactive for better ranking now. AJ fight will tell us more. If he makes it competitive I will rank him higher. I think he will.
10. Hunter
Hes solid fighter. Got my respect from the Povetkin fight. I hope to see him fight more good names in the near future.
11. Chisora
Gate keeper for the top 10. Always tough opponent. 1 and 1 against Whyte on my card. Separates the trash from diamonds. Good showing against Usyk. clear loss but made it hard for Usyk.
12. Ortiz.
I have never rated Ortiz as high as some others. Wilder needed lot of help to win the first fight. Jennings was at the time a solid win. Not much more for the old man.
13. Helenius
Kownacki was ranked pretty high on many lists before running head first at Helenius. Teper was pretty good win. Has shown against guys like Whyte and Chisora that he can hang with the top 10 guys. Was sick against Washington and really short preparation against Whyte. Much better than given credit for.
14. Kabayel.
Not much to say about him. Showed hes level against Chisora. Well see more when he fights Fury.
15. Joyce
Getting really thin at this point. Jennings, Ustinov and Stiverne are not that good wins but at least there is bit of volume of guys that are almost relevant.
Well that de escaleted quickly. Top 10 is actually kind of crowded. after that there is almost nothing![]()
