But the rule is, if someone loses they are overrated.

Nah. Hes like the welterweight Joseph Parker. Thats exactly how I'd describe him
Then you're silly. Parker's beat no one. Danny destroyed Khan when Khan was at his best and decisively beat Matthysse when everyone else was scared of him. Those are his best wins, and that's something to be very proud of. Parker's done absolutely nothing.
Amir Khan     Amir Khan!! hahahaha hes the most chinny and ridiculed boxer in the sport who'd just lost to the mediocre Lamont Peterson, and before that was getting KO'd by a Colombian Taxi driver in 50 seconds and Willie Limond ( 15 second count) . Cmon lol

Parkers win over Andy Ruiz Jr is better than any Danny Garcia win.
Khan was at his peak when he fought Garcia and Khan's chin isn't as bad as people make out, otherwise Maidana, a known hard puncher, would've KO'd him. Also, Peterson was juicing in that fight.

Parker got some Kiwi homecooking in that decision against Ruiz.

Impossible to make it to world level being average.

Danny Garcia is a very strong fighter for his size. I remember him beating Lucas Matthysse where lots of people had Matthysse as the favorite in that fight. D. Garcia fought the best welters out there and he's a real warrior. I'd like to see him fighting Ugas. :TU:

Yup, very true. He's a very hard worker type of fighter.

I can't believe it's 2020 and theres still a person out there who thinks its debatable that Khan has a terrible chin lol.

Knocked out or knocked down by > Canelo Alvarez, Breidis Prescott, Danny Garcia, Terence Crawford, Willie Limond, Michael Gomez, Julio Diaz, Samuel Vargas, Rachid Drilzane, Craig Watson. Hes had a love affair with the canvas his whole career.

He has one of the worst chins ever. Danny Garcia is definitely no puncher but Khan made him look like Artur Beterbiev that night

Nah look how on this thread alone some ppl are stupidly saying that hes a future hall of hamer, and that hes elite.

Hes always wrongly mentioned in the same sentence as crawford and spence when theres no way hes on their level.

he's boarderline but if i had to guess i don't think he'll get in, people aren't high enough on him even if he does have a case. perfect case of a very good fighter who is a cut below the elite in his division

Not to open this discussion again, but there are worse fighers in the hall already. (please reference any number of threads on HOF in history forum).

and there are lots of guys who never got in who are more proven and better than guys who are in

if we go by the worst guy in then the discussion is open to loads of guys

jermain taylor or corey spinks wouldnt be the least deserving guy in but no one brings up his name etc

You said it. It goes both ways. Ergo I can see Garcia get in.

In my opinion... best fight I’ve watched in a while.Gained respect for both guys, Errol recovered and fought hard and Danny fought hard and never quit. Both guys better in my mind.

Agreed. :TU:

I’d be shocked if anyone was stupid enough to pretend that, in the context of sporting credentials, Barry McGuigan, Arturo Gatti and Ingemar Johansson are technically more worthy Hall-of-Famers than Danny Garcia is.

It would be far too easy to decimate their counter-arguments with consummate ease.

Using lowest common denominator arguments are the least convincing

Is Castillo better than him? Casamayor? Corrales? Rafael Marquez? Benn? Eubank?

None of them are in the hof

I don't like him and especially his father personally, but no question that he is an elite fighter. Crawford and Spence are just a level higher. They are special.

What does he do that's elite? what attributes do he have that are elite?

NOTHING. He's just got a granite chin and everything else is pretty average/decent. He certainly doesn't stand out to me, I would never put elite and Danny Garcia in the same sentence.
