Watched him fight in Rhyl a few years back and seen a few of his fights on YouTube.

Danny Harding was training him in the ams before Matthew poached him.

Can't say I'm excited about his Pro career to be honest.

Don't know anything about this logan Paul apart from hearing my kids talking about him.

Floyd is making a joke of the sport that mad him if he "fights" him.

Glad that Canelo has offered to spar with him

Campbell Hatton signs with AJ's management team

Campbell Hatton, son of former world champion Ricky Hatton, has signed with Anthony Joshua's management and communications team ahead of his pro debut.

The 19-year-old Manchester-based fighter is preparing to appear on the undercard for Alexander Povetkin vs Dillian Whyte 2 on March 6, live on Sky Sports Box Office, and his exciting career will now be guided by Joshua's 258 MGT and leading communications agency SoapBox London.

Hatton joins 258's stellar management roster that includes Anthony Joshua, Joshua Buatsi, Lawrence Okolie, Ramla Ali and Souleymane Cissokho.

"I am incredibly excited to be joining 258 Management & SoapBox for my pro career," said Campbell Hatton.

"My dad has done a brilliant job at guiding me so far and I will continue to seek his advice as well as work in the gym with my uncle Matthew. I cannot wait for the first bell March 6."

Campbell's father and boxing manager Ricky said: "Campbell's dream is to bring another world boxing title back to Manchester.

"The dream is obviously in Campbell's hands and ultimately it's down to him, but given time that's what he'll do.

"As his manager and his father my job is to get the best possible team behind him to give him the best chance possible. That's what we've done and having 258 management and SoapBox on board is the last piece of the jigsaw. I'm absolutely delighted."

Managing director of 258 Management Freddie Cunningham said: "We are delighted to welcome Campbell into the 258 stable.

"We have had our eye on him a while now, and it is an honour to guide this huge boxing name through the professional ranks. We have total belief in what Campbell can achieve both in and out the ring and cannot wait to get started."

It has also been confirmed Campbell is to work with communications specialists SoapBox London, looking after his public relations and social media work.

SoapBox London co-owner Andy Bell said: "Campbell is one of the most exciting prospects in British sport. He comes from a place that understands exactly what it takes to reach the top and we passionately believe we can help him achieve his goals."

Campbell Hatton Confirms Link-Up With Trainer Barry Smith

Campbell Hatton (14-1, 5 KOs) has joined trainer Barry Smith following his defeat to Jimmy Joe Flint in Sheffield on March 2.

Despite Hatton’s efforts, Flint demonstrated his quality and experience fighting at a higher level by claiming a unanimous points win against the son of former two-weight world champion Ricky.

The defeat to Flint had come as a shock to his handlers and promoters Matchroom, who had expectations of Hatton collecting the first title of his career in the shape of the BBBofC Central Area title.

In the weeks after the loss, Hatton announced that he had split amicably from trainer and Uncle Matthew, himself a former fighter, to explore other coaching avenues.

Hatton took to social media to confirm that he is now training under Smith at the Ben Davison Performance Centre in Harlow, Essex.

“Buzzing with the opportunity to train with Barry and the @BenDavison_ Performance Centre. Time to get to work,” Hatton tweeted on X.

Trainer Smith, who regularly assists trainer Ben Davison with the likes of Anthony Joshua and Leigh Wood, has been responsible for Jordan Gill’s recent upturn in fortunes following his knockout defeat to Kiko Martinez in September 2022.

Smith guided Gill to one of last year’s most prominent upset wins with a stoppage victory over Michael Conlan in seven rounds in Belfast in December. Victory positioned the Cambridgeshire-based Gill into a final eliminator earlier this month against Zelfa Barrett.

Despite defeat to Barrett, Gill produced a credible performance, despite being halted in the 10th round.

Outside of Smith’s work with Gill, the colorful trainer had been a staple on the circuit in London and was previously based at the famous West Ham gym in east London, having worked with the likes of John Wayne Hibbert, Dean Byrne, Tommy Martin and the Upton brothers. He is now part of the Ben Davison team at the performance centre, along with Lee Wylie.

Barry seems to be boxing through and through, be interesting to see how much he can help Campbell. Fair play to him for trying a new avenue.

campbell is obviously lucky to be ricky's son, but seems like he's taking it serious, giving it a real go, and is trying to make the most despite his limitations. i respect that

I agree and respect it too, he clearly really wants to fight. He is also very humble and always super conditioned, living the life.

Campbell Hatton Learning Quickly Alongside Anthony Joshua and Leigh Wood

Campbell Hatton is looking forward to getting lost in boxing for a few months.

It is six weeks since Hatton suffered the first defeat of his professional career. The 23-year-old boxed bravely against Central Area super lightweight champion Jimmy Joe Flint, but lost a unanimous 10-round decision.

After the fight, Hatton and his uncle and trainer, Matthew, agreed on an amicable parting of ways.

Hatton, 14-1 (5 KOs), is now working with Barry Smith at the thriving Ben Davison Performance Centre in Essex. The decision wasn’t one that he rushed into, but it is one that he is already happy he made.

“I’m loving it. It’s taking some getting used to but I’m picking things up quickly and starting to get the hang of it,” he told BS.

“Already I’m feeling like I’m settling down into it and picking up the different ways of doing things but I think it’s gonna be a new Campbell Hatton to be honest. When you’re knocking about with the type of fighters that I am in the gym every day, you can only improve.”

Hatton was just 19 years old when he cut short a brief amateur career to begin training with his uncle and from that point on, he was always the biggest name in a tight stable.

These days, Hatton may just glimpse the reflection of two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua as he shadowboxes in the mirror or alter his footwork slightly to avoid bumping into former WBA featherweight champion, Leigh Wood, as they work the heavy bag.

Training alongside famous names doesn’t guarantee success, and Hatton will have a whole new set of aches and pains to deal with as his body adapts to a different routine. He is also likely to have more humbling moments than breakthroughs as Smith and the team begin to examine and overhaul his style.

Throughout the adaptation period, however, Hatton will only need to look around for proof that the system he is now a part of works.

“It’s been great for me,” he said. “When I was at Matthew’s we were working hard and I was improving but I was sort of the main man in the gym at the time. Now, I’m chasing and it means I’ve gotta raise my game to try and match the lads that I’m in with so it’ll bring me on tenfold.”

Hennessey Jr intimated after his last fight that he might not box anymore. Jr was a limited fighter ability wise but really tried and boxed all over as an amateur too. And is possibly the most polite out of all the sons of boxing figures. I think his sister has real ability.
