Parker is an odd one. I put him there almost because I feel I should.
Chisora has had so many close defeats in big fights. His last 6 losses have been razor thin really
Exceeded expectations v Usyk (couple of rounds in it)
First Whyte fight was close
Was ahead when KOd against Whyte in rematch
Kabayel and Pulev both SD
Parker too close to call too
He’d be great for Joyce but it’s not the right time after Usyk and Parker losses

Jury is still out on Joyce …. Needs to move quick as he’s just about 36 and at 12-0 times ticking away

Oh give a rest Boxtune you're so full of piss and vinegar. What has Hearn ever done to you, did he reject your advances or something?
Hearn has been great for boxing and for boxers. Not sure I'd buy a used car from him, mind.
A fine post that Wales.

its true that pulev beat chis handily in reality tbf, the one judge was on crack or some sh!t, all the others were close fights though

Pulev won handily but was a close defeat in the record books.

Joyce will have a tougher time with Takam than people think but will get the win.
Personally Don’t see him beating second tier heavyweights though.
Takam up on the cards and the stoppage was undeniably premature. Would Takam have come back? We’ll never know. Was he in a worse place than AJ v Wladamir ? Absolutely not

Makhmudov's promoter is having difficulty finding a decent opponent for Arslanbek's September 09 fight.
A tough journeyman like Mike Balogun or Jerry Forrest might be willing, but it's time they found a legit top 25 opponent for Makhmudov.

The topic title is so true.
What a waste. Just goes to show that you can be the best and never get anywhere without the right palms greased, the money to back you etc.

Arslanbek Makhmudov is being progressed at a quicker pace than Filip Hrgovic.

Hrgovic has been getting worse. I think 2018 Hrgovic beats current Hrgovic 118-110.
Mak truck has been progressing a bit I guess but just pathetic activity. If your going to be fighting guys outside the top 50 you need to fight 6 times a year to hold momentum as a side show. Otherwise you need real fights.
Boxing is just fucked, everyone’s gambling on getting a huge future pay day, so avoiding all risk, rather than trying to make decent pay days. Anywhere near 168 they are waiti my for canelo. Heavyweight at least there waiting for a few guys, but geese it’s shit.

Nice recent (and honest) interview from "Narices Rotas" (Broken Noses) youtube channel. He says he'll fight september but still doesn't know his opponent and that it's difficult to get good fights. Sounds like a cool bloke.
Edit: looks like he's fighting on September 16th

Looks like The Ring announced that he'll fight Jerry Forrest on Sept. 16, but then deleted the news.
Jerry sounds like a nice fight, he'll get decimated though.

After aged Pulev stopped the triumphal draw streak of Forrest in a one-sided fashion, Jerry doesn't sound promising in the Mak matchup at all.

Forrest would of been a decent fight. but his showing vs pulev was pretty dam bad and didnt age great after pulevs fight with chisrora.
side note** Makhmudov vs Bakolie would be red hot, and those too are always acting like they are ducked.

Yeah, vs. Bakole, Joyce or Hrgovic would make great fights, but they are high-risk ones. He might try to get Chisora, Whyte, Ortiz, Ruiz, Helenius, Hunter... those sound more reasonable if he KsTFO Forrest.

It's impossible to judge, how good he or his chin is, after he has faced only tomato cans. Yes, he punches hard, but we have just witnessed Dubois being overhyped and outclassed.
Talking about promotion, yes, it's not the best, as the guy already needs to step up, what he's obviously isn't doing.
Outclassed - when??

I guess when he was up on the scorecards and broke his orbital bone?

Losing that fight, when he seemed before the injury to have the measure of Joyce did him the world of good. He has cut a swathe through the three guys he fought since, and the Bryant battering was brutal. Real focused since Joyce. If there was a rematch I'd be lumping my cash on DDD.
