I believe Crawford is the best P4P fighter currently. But I wouldn't put him at #1, his body of work has too little to be desired.

Bob Arum to announce Terence Crawford’s next fight next week, says it’s a “Major fight” on PPV.

Arum says they’ll be revealing the date and location when the announcement is made.

Nah, if it goes more by eye then anyone who's not legally blind should have Shakur Stevenson easily top 5 or even top 3. What Crawford did south of 147 was nice, but there are others out there that have much more impressive wins than Crawford and have done it recently. Crawford hasn't done jack shit in like 3 years that justify he's #1 P4P, he's not even the #1 in his own division.

That's exactly right, resume is for divisional and historical rankings. Straight resume nobody touches PAC.

There has a be a ballance of everything. Crawford is a bit top heavy on the eye test at this point. Right now Crawford is like flash in the pan, has done nice work, but didn't continue that same path after he moved to 147. There has to be more substance to rankings or then it turns into a opinion with nothing to back it up. If we're going to call someone the best fighter in the world, ALL criteria should be considered and Crawford just doesn't meet all the criteria to "prove" he's the best fighter in the world.

Using resume is more guess work than eye, are they fading? How far back is still valid? How would Inoue fair at 160? It's bullshit dude. Ain't going to be no proof. We can agree to disagree on why Terrance does or doesn't deserve the top P4P spot. He hasn't done enough for me recently. I believe he's the best fighter in the world, but it really means eff all if he doesn't prove it against the best.

With Floyd and Manny either out of the game or on the decline the p4p list has the least relevance I can remember in my lifetime. For what its worth, I have Canelo at no.1, but I'm not a fan and think he only ever fights with the odds stacked in his favour.

P4P is really a dead thing, now. All I care about is who is best at each weight class and P4P can f*ck off.

Out of interest, what sort of opposition do you feel Canelo should be facing to be regarded as either the underdog or only a slight betting favourite?

• He campaigned at 147lbs or below for 4½ years

Also, what sort of currently active top-ten pound-for-pound fighters do you feel that Canelo needs to emulate to either persuade you to become a "fan" or to change your mind about him being risk-averse?

I just want to understand whether you’re holding Canelo accountable to higher standards than you apply to other fighters, simply because you dislike the Mexican.

For the record, I’m not defending Canelo, but in the context of the universally-regarded top-ten pound-for-pounders, I feel he has the best resume.

And some of the fighters he’s accused of “ducking” (as per Crawford’s comments about Canelo not fighting Charlo and Andrade), aren’t even facing the best in their own weight classes.

For instance:

• Six months ago, before the Derevyanchenko bout, Jermall Charlo hadn't fought any of the top-ten middleweights.
• The best middleweight Demetrius Andrade has faced is Maciej Sulecki, who was (at best) only a fringe top-ten 160lb-er.
• Artur Beterbiev's resume is pretty poor, his victory over the mentally scarred Oleksandr Gvozdyk is the only notable name he's faced.

Why do the likes of Jermall Charlo, Demetrius Andrade and Artur Beterbiev escape criticism for their relatively weak resumes, since people are accusing Canelo of “ducking” these guys?

True. GGG would get some sweet revenge but if this type of match would happen the contract would be full of safety clauses for ODLH.

I'd say Golovkin's had a perfectly fine career, and has made quite a bit of money. Not as much as he would've liked maybe.

GGG vs De La Hoya in an actual fight would be fine. Any Exhibition match is pointless with very few exceptions.

Most of the guys that are jumping at those now thinking it'll go over like Tyson vs Roy Jones will be saddened to learn nobody gives 2 f*cks about their event.
