Do you think Benn would do any better against Alverez or Crawford ,, think of them fights and it sort of puts things in perspective . Imagine Benn v Alverez

This is true. You're dead right. But the gap between Khan and Benn is closing all the time Khan should take the fight now.

“I like him because he wants to fight a big name and he’s not scared,” Khan told Brian Custer on the Last Stand Podcast. “You have to give him respect because I was the same way when I was around his age…and I was calling out the big names. You want to send statements to the world that, ‘Look, I’m here, I want to fight the best.’”

“I didn’t think it was disrespectful. I didn’t think it was bad. I like this kid.You have to be a young lion in boxing. You cannot be scared of anyone. He wants to fight the best.”

“It might be a little bit too early for him in his career [to fight me],” said Khan. “You can end up ruining your career, and I don’t want him to do that. So, maybe the best thing that happens is that he doesn’t fight me.

“But, I mean, look, if he keeps performing the way he is performing in his fights then you know I’m sure he’ll be ready for world title fights and the big names out there. I remember sending a message back to him, I was like, ‘When I was your age I was world champion, it’s not like I’m scared.’ But look, he’s a young lion and he wants to fight the best at the moment. Props to him, bro. That’s the way, if you want to make it to the top.”

What is Benn's difficulty with calling out Avanesyan's name ?!

Avanesyan would take the fight in a heart beat and IF Conor beat him (or even performed well) it should satisfy and/or shut up a lot of his knockers, which is something that would obviously give him a lot of pleasure.

The European title is a great belt to hold and still pays well, especially if his TV company got behind the fight.

Beat Avanesyan and Conor's moves into genuine world title contention.

Avanesyan too dangerous of a fight for Benn. To get to a world title in boxing is not who you fight its who you don't fight.

I like Khan vs Benn, Benn would become mainstream if hes beats Khan, i prefer Benn - Khan then Khan - brook

My post was pretty much rhetorical and of course you're right, Glass Joe, but Benn has gone to lengths to tell the boxing world he's the real deal.

Challenging Avanesyan for Euripean title proves he really is as serious as he wants us to believe :TU:

Mind you, I think Liam Taylor may end up being next in line for a shot at Avanesyan's title if I read a press release correctly.

Think this is bigger than khan vs Brook now. Changing of the guard fights are fun. Proper 50-50 now too, hope it happens but also hope they don’t wait till it’s all stacked connors way.

Khan is finished, that's why Benn is on full call out mode.

Khan 35 or whatever he is and not fought in over 2 years, some of you lot are easily pleased. He's a name only now.

Ha, yes they both love "the life".
To be fair, she does earn through modelling and Instagram.
Did you see the real estate photos of Khan's house when it was for sale?
Some cash was funneled into that joint they won't see back, like the boxing gloves mosaic in the entrance hall..

Wouldn’t wanna see this fight.
Khan is well past anything resembling the fighter he was.
It would be cagey from Khan for a few rounds then he’ll get blown away and bang… casuals are convinced and Benn is fighting on PPV from then on.
Someone said Avaneysen… that fights makes much more sense.
Khan is a shell and should fight Brook… who is another shell.

thats a good shout but i guess you know the answer already. benn in my opinion wouldnt beat Avanesyan yet but like i said before i didnt rate benn few years back but he has come on untold he beats khan but khan aint the same fighter he was so it will be just a name but it would be a big fight experience for benn to gain ,Avanesyan is world class level though he has aged a bit

There was a time when Khan was one of the most fearless men in boxing and his fighting instinct was second to none. You see that in the Prescott fight when he is dead to rites and still trying to get up and fight. Only very few fighters have that kind of heart. Somewhere along the way he lost all of that and now he is a quitter. Benn would probably make him quit like Crawford did.

Lots of interest here.

See if quick heavy hands at tail end meets a quick fearless dollar hungry young man. :TU:

Make it happen promoters.

The first round vs Maidana sums up how good Khan was offensively. The last two sums up his deficiencies. If he’d had a good chin and better stamina boy would he have been something.

His chin did him proud that night, his willingness to have a tear up and recklessness let him down if anything, christ knows how he got through it.. But im glad he did it, what a fight

Benn would smash the shit out of him now. Its not like khans a crafty veteran with uber survival instincts, opposite if anything.

At this stage a young hungry fighter like Benn (although no world beater), would just tear into him.

One of the best British overseas performances. It gets very little credit in comparison to what it should get.
Khan was facing the most dangerous light welter in the world and by-God could he bang.
How Khan survived they 10th round was unreal. That big right hand knocks a lot of people cold.
Khan didn’t have a bad chin. He had a bad defence when tired and shocking concentration.

he's chinny too, that's why those lapses are so noticable, because he gets seriously rocked/dropped/stopped etc
