We need visitors here to win, not here to be over paid international fighters putting on journeymen like performances of spoiling and inactivity (Jur and De Carolis on Saturday for example)

It's can be hard to figure out whether the so called no-hoper is just over for a payday.

Whilst it can be hard there are some tell tale signs...

A 36 year old who hasn't fought since 2019, and is 2-3 in his last 5 and was stopped early in 2 of those losses is likely to be a no hope (see Jur)

A 36 year old who hasn't fought in almost 2 years, is unlikely to be full of energy and hungry to shine (De Carolis)

A fighter who quit a bout on a few fights ago is a no hope (Aguilera, who took on Sanchez on the Canelo vs BJS under card, and did the same here)

A 38 year old who was stopped in 3 by H. Fury (Pavel Sour), sure they wanted to get Gorman a win but Sour put up nothing an effort there

A guy who is 1-3-1 in his last 5 and was blown out in a round last time out (Guido Nicolas Pitto)

Yeah we have people that buck that trend of being old and there for a payday (Takayama Kiko, Juarez, and Fedosov being some examples though both are legit warriors who earned reputations through good chunks of their careers) but you can usually have a good guess at who is there for just money.

If a guy is old, inactive, and has shown no ambition when the decks have been stacked against him previously, it's fair to assume they are there for a payday.

If they are young, have a point to prove and see a bout as a stepping stone to something else and a big opportunity, they tend to come to fight (Straffon, Lara, Plania, and although high up in age Gongora).
