I remember that. It made sense really. If the mission was to raise his profile by having him fight a washed up former prospect, it would have done that. It's a bit like Wilder fighting Audley here.
It would have raised his profile for all the wrong reasons though. Would have been better off exhuming a past champ.
Can't believe Hearn entertained this thought.
