In addition to Bryant being bogus, I am struggling with the fact that Dubois has been manoeuvred through the back door to a ‘title shot’ without addressing the loss to Joyce - or even showing he has considerably improved.
It pretty much sums up boxing at the moment. I can see Dubois beating Bryan and then what? A whole host of defences against unworthy challengers? What's the point?
Exactly.
This is the ultimate manufactured fight.
Bogus champion.
Challenger has been steered to the shot, avoiding a domestic rival who has already beaten him.
If he wins he’s not going to willingly start fighting anybody decent is he!

Dubois first few defences will look something like: Serdar Avci, Raphael Akpejiori, Gianmarco Cardillo and Agron Smakici

fornicate DDD would be awkward with briggzy yelling "lets go CHAMP" at him.
But if he got through that he would have a tough test against chriss lovejoy who by then will have bounced back with a brutal KO of his maid or busdriver or whoever wants the 20 dollars most.

Look's like DDD's career is all mapped out.

I remember when WBA ordered Oquendo vs. Briggs.
Min bid was $1m too.. and the highest bid was $200k..
They had to do another purse bid and they lowered the minimum bid.
I don’t see why just a high minimum just for a regular/interim belt.
Also, do promoters always have to pay a fee ($15k in this case) just to participate?
Money robbing bastards!

It's a belt so obscure, that only hardcore boxing fans even know about, and subsequently don't care about.
No way is it worth a million minimum bid. You can't convince casuals that it is a title, and who has heard of Trevor Bryan?

They have been improving.. in the last 12 months. They stripped a lot of Interim belt holders.

This will go two ways. Winning bid will be around $1.001m
Just over. Don’t expect it to even reach $2m
Thing is the fight will lose money. It’s not a an easy sell, and like Hearn would say, not much commercial value.
I think Frank will bid. But knowing DK, he’ll bid over the odds, NOT having the full money and then try getting some investors.

You’d think that.
Last time they still got a bid in. Someone bid $200 KNOWING the min bid was $1m..
Should $500k min.
WBA just trying to maximise their own sanctioning fees.

You'd think he has money.. Is he even making money promoting Bryan? He also has Makabu as well.

I seen that too..
He was involved in some huge fights!
When he offered Ali and Foreman $5m each.. He didn't even have to the money.. had to sell it to the highest bidder (Zaire president at the time)..

Boxing is so ODD, Joyce beat Dubois but Dubois get a title shot before Joyce, I’m still scratching my head.

Yeh seems like DDD has progressed more since.
But then JJJ is already in a mandatory position. Just not a mandatory challenger yet.
What’s ODD by the way?
Edit..
Never mind. Thought it was an abbreviation or sumat.
