I remember a stocky Italian by the name of Guido Trane ending the long career of Billy Aird in 1983 in London. "If I can't beat him, there's just no point in going on," said Billy in the dressing room. However, Trane turned out to be a decent fighter and went in with George Foreman in Las Vegas in 1988.

Chagaev is somewhere between 0-4 inches shorter than Haye depending on the source and beat Valuev with an 11-13 inch height disparity.

Bumphus proved an embarrassment to the Duvas because he was obviously using drugs (along with his Tacoma sidekick Rocky Lockridge) and his behaviour after he was stopped against Gene Hatcher is that of a man completely off his head. He was about to act up again when referee Rudy Battle stopped his fight with Honeyghan but Lou Duva grabbed his fighter's arm and yanked him back.My Name Is Earl wrote: ↑03 Jul 2021, 05:32 Johnny Bumphus was a rangy light welter who towered over Honeyghan in Lloyd's early defence of his title.
