In hindsight, the Tyson from the Tillis fight vs the Douglas from the Tucker fight would’ve been a close fight stylistically. Tucker had two hands v Buster and one hand v Mike. Plus the fact Tyson was 240 10 days before and had been knocked over by Greg Paige in sparring..

Woke up and heard the news on radio. Thought the DJ was on a wind-up. It was literally impossible to believe Tyson would lose to Buster.

In the actual fight fraternity, Tyson/Douglas is not the biggest upset. Tyson had been showing signs of decline (in and out of the ring) and was inactive.
Armstrong/Zivic in the trade was genuinely shocking. Homicide was a shoe-in cert.

At the time it was shocking to see Roy hurt like that. I don't think we got that fight live in the UK but I managed to get a short clip of the KO the next day and I remember being really shocked seeing Roy hurt on the canvas. We hardly got to see any RJJ fights in his prime live in the UK.

In the Holmes and Spinks fights you can see intricate things he’s not doing anymore, his out of ring stresses affecting his boxing. Come the Bruno fight he’s a completely different fighter.

I had Holm to beat rousey,rousey was(is) a little spoilt bratt and Holm was a kick boxing world champ and a boxing world champ where as rousey was a judo Olympic gold medalist but not great at stand up. Greece is a good shout,I remember going to florida for the first time and going the great English pub on I-drive and asking him who won(there wasn't Internet link there is now) and when the cockney at the bar told me Greece I thought he was on a wind up lol.

rousey was the most overhyped combat athlete ever
literally had ppl saying she was the greatest ever combat athlete, not just womens, but including mens, and in any sport. weve had sports where guys reign for decades or come back from defeat with great results....she put in a few good years in a shallow womens division and then got destroyed an then was done with, could never bounce back
funny enough, just a couple years later there is a new womans goat supposedly. the goats sure come and go in mma
