Bunce is as bad as Colin Hart ever was. He lost all credibility years ago during his Audley Harrison chearleading.
That is understandable. But .. the BBBofC have a responsibility to boxing to maintain standards.Controversial wrote: ↑27 Sep 2021, 15:11 I think it's like a lots of jobs, tow the line you will be ok. How many times have we seen yes men in the workplace, more often than not they are useless but they do what their paymasters tell them.
If the fight is close then side with the home fighter otherwise you might not be working too much in the future. Probably not said in an official way but it's just what you are expected to do.
Everyone knows the BBBoC is a joke.tonyevs wrote: ↑27 Sep 2021, 15:26That is understandable. If a judge demonstrates an ineptitude for scoring a fight, then its the boards responsibility to provide additional training to bring the judge up to the standard expected; its not good enough for them to hide behind the line of it being subjective .. because if that was the case there would be no need for the written test and the time spent being assessed at scoring fights.
If a judge is believed to be biased towards certain promoters .. then they should be banned.
I suspect most of that is a blag trying to make himself seem like a plucky man of the people.tonyevs wrote: ↑27 Sep 2021, 15:16Bunce is as bad as Colin Hart ever was. He lost all credibility years ago during his Audley Harrison chearleading.
Does anybody know if Bunce has actually ever been sued and lost in court for asking promoters questions they didnt want to hear? is it even possible to be sued or taken to court for asking promoters boxing related questions??
Bunce gets a bigger Walter Mitty all the time; the guy has no credibility.
They need 3 judges who all must punch in who they thought won the round and then the fighter who got 2 or more gets the round and it gets broadcast before the start of the next round. Yeah some fighters will get on their bike when they are up wide but it's on the other fighter to go for it then. These BBBoC old lads are just taking the piss too much.Black Sam Bellamy wrote: ↑27 Sep 2021, 07:31 Going into the eleventh round, Usyk was still odds against in the Betfair in-running market. Even though most people could see he was well in control. I think that is reflective of the fact that most boxing people virtually expect the robbery now.
It cannot be hard for the board to take six recently retired pros and make them judges. I am sure the interest would be there from boxers. Have the scores broadcast at the end of each round. Sweep the floor clean of these crooks.
They normally use the A Star judges who are a member of the area where the fight is.peter barlow wrote: ↑27 Sep 2021, 16:45 Why is it always Foster, IJL, Gray, McDonnell, O'Connor on TV cards?
Where are all the other refs/judges?
boxing is due its #metoo moment. clean it up (well, parts of it)TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑27 Sep 2021, 15:56They need 3 judges who all must punch in who they thought won the round and then the fighter who got 2 or more gets the round and it gets broadcast before the start of the next round. I can't see what questions would land you in court.
So he's the one who sued and he won in court not the other way around?Counter-puncher wrote: ↑28 Sep 2021, 03:31if you google 'Steven Bunce court case' this is what comes up:jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑27 Sep 2021, 15:46I suspect most of that is a blag trying to make himself seem like a plucky man of the people.tonyevs wrote: ↑27 Sep 2021, 15:16

many of us will remember the 'bring back Bunce' 'campaign' that originated when he got dropped (off Setanta was it?), well he sued the Guardian for saying he instigated it
that's the only story I could find, of his being involved in court cases

As for Bunce never liked him, he's always been an attention seeker with those stupid hawaian shirts and calling himself "Big Daddy Bunce", I mean only wankers give their own selves a nickname..... and his irritating affected catchphrases like 'Adios' and 'Trust me'. Another deluded, rude narcissist

well maybe there was another case, but the powers that be are so committed to silencing Bunce, because he's such a threat with his straight talking 'neither fear no favour' complete honesty and straight talking style that they have wiped it from google, because they need to silence his straight talking bluntness. Trust me.
