Re: Wilder a true warrior

Was there any high profile boxer, present or past, who cannot accept L, just like WIlder ? He had ton of excuses after second fight and showed no sportsmanship after 3rd
Foreman's excuses after Zaire were countless, and Foreman now admits this. Ali went around after "The Fight of The Century" saying he was the "People's Champ," and he really won the first fight with Frazier, but "The Man" wouldn't give him his just desserts. True, they did not accuse their opponents of loaded gloves which is far, far worse. I have noted that Wilder went over the line, but, to me, what is far more important is behavior in the ring. Never saw Wilder cheat or quit.
Some accused Wilder of cheating, when his team forced a longer break in the 1st Ortiz fight, after the round where Wilder had taken a lot of punishment.Tony1244 wrote: ↑11 Oct 2021, 11:24Foreman's excuses after Zaire were countless, and Foreman now admits this. I'm certainly well aware that in his first 25 fights or so he beat fighters that my Mother in Law could beat. He did get a lot of time in the Ortiz fight, but there are other examples of refs doing that more now.DrDuke wrote: ↑11 Oct 2021, 11:29Some accused Wilder of cheating, when his team forced a longer break in the 1st Ortiz fight, after the round where Wilder had taken a lot of punishment.Tony1244 wrote: ↑11 Oct 2021, 11:24Foreman's excuses after Zaire were countless, and Foreman now admits this. Also he was in a fixed fight against the other sh!thouse.
Whatever. You get in there and take 11 rounds of Fury’s best punches and keep throwing back until the end.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑11 Oct 2021, 07:45Wilder was valiant has weekend.
But he’s not a “warrior”, his resume is weak for a fighter that’s engaged in thirteen world title bouts.
And he also rejected multiple career-high payday offers to face some of his big-name rivals.
His post fight antics are exceptionally juvenile and unprofessional.
One fight doesn’t erase five years’ worth of history, where his WBC title reign was very poor.
Btw, Ali was in denial in public, but he admitted the loss to close people, while Wilder surrounded himself by henchmen, who were happy to lick his butt.Tony1244 wrote: ↑11 Oct 2021, 11:24Foreman's excuses after Zaire were countless, and Foreman now admits this.
