Nothing suggests Tommy is any better/worse than Jake; similar fight experience as Campbell Hatton .. maybe even less actually, and we know how bad he is .. two young average novice celebrity boxers making millions.

Best of luck to both kids I say; a lot of the flack is jealousy that these kids have been marketed where they can earn millions for a bit of entertainment.

The 24-year-old Paul (4-0, 3 KOs) is a world-renowned content creator. The Cleveland-native is fighting out of Puerto Rico under the eye of former boxing cruiserweight contender and world title challenger B.J. Flores, who has been training Paul from his first professional fight. After knocking out British YouTube star AnEsonGib in his debut and defeating Robinson with a knockout heard around the world, Paul made quick work of former MMA champion Ben Askren in April with a first-round knockout. Don't agree at all, travellers engage in organised bare knuckle. On top of many pub and street fights. That's before any boxing training of which they are highly represented in. The average settled man does nothing close to that.

Yeah most of us boxing forum posters likely have had it out on the cobbles more than most. But we are hardly representative of the average man on the street...

Tommy and his mrs have done a brilliant job on the public. He's getting more than virtually every world champion for a four round level fight.
As for Tommy on the cobbles.... I doubt that. I don't even think he was raised the traveller way.
He was born from a different mother's cxnt to Tyson, Big Shane, Hughie and Little John.

The difference for me is that this low level fight will be PpV in the US/U.K. at something like $50/£20. It’s insulting to boxing fans.

Showtime have 3 PPVs across 7 weeks. BT will have 3 PPVs across 10 weeks. It’s all simply greed. How can a BT customer be happy with the boxing they’ve had this year when seemingly their focus is simply on PPV?

I don’t love women’s boxing but I’m absolutely fine with an evenly matched women’s fight.

I agree it's poor what BT are at with all these PPVs, to me it looks like an exit strategy before they sell up BT Sport, probably to DAZN if it's still happening.

Barring Fury Wilder the number of buys for the other PPVs is likely very small. PPV at 5am does not work in UK. Unless it's a massive name like Fury, Joshua. Ricky Hatton years ago etc

If they want to extort fans with PPV give us the dignity of putting it on at a reasonable hour!
