Hopkins can do a bit of everything. He tailors his style to get the job done. Against DLH, a faster fighter with better handspeed and movement, he actually outboxed him, forcing Oscar to come into range to score points, and then dissected him, that's the definition of slick.
That is your idea of slick. Just a difference of opinion re: the word slick.
Pernell Whittaker was slick.
Hopkins - as you say - does a bit of everything.
Choose 1 word to describe Hopkins and it would NOT be slick.

Yes, we disagree with the meaning of the word slick, perhaps a dictionary definition might clarify this.....cough, excuse me..
Slick
Smooth, glossy, and slippery: sidewalks slick with ice. See Synonyms at sleek.

Shrewd; wily.
Both meanings apply, though I would argue that Hopkins is certainly slippery, as well as adriut and shrewd and wily.
As for your other arguement, no way is Joppy slicker than Hopkins, no matter what your definition.

Difference is, Curry was nowhere near as proven as Hopkins. Curry was being built up as the next SRL, and was having severe weight making problems, and problems outside the ring, he wasn't really that focussed
and took the unknown honeyghan lightly.
I think this will be more McCallum v Watson.

Yes, but Elliot is an unskilled, slow, lumbering tank with all the finesse of a breezeblock hurtling from a tower block. Howard could see most of the shots coming a bloody mile away. Big difference between than and getting caught by umpteen sneaky counters by a masterful boxer.
I'm not saying he will be stopped, just that his chin is perhaps overrated, given the level of competition he has faced. Had he made it through a 12 round war with Trinindad it would be different, but Elliot is a poor yardstick.

Yeah I know. But Elliot hardly threw anything all night. He would just go for broke sometimes and catch Howard by surprise throwing bombs. Very dangerous indeed. Add that to the fact he was a late replacement and possible unknown to Howard. Robert Allen said Hopkins didn't hit as hard as last time. To me Bernards punches don't have the same snap as old.

An Ice cube will hurt you if someone twats you in the face with it, a splash of water won't. However, if someone ties you down and turns the cold tap on your head, eventually it'll bore a hole in your head.
Hopkins won't stop Eastman with one shot, but it's quite possible he will break him down and beat him up down the stretch. Look how tough Glen Johnson is, and he said the beating that Hopkins gave him is something no other fighters has ever been able to do to him. Hop may be older, but he still knows how to fight his fight.

That was 8 years ago and no way would that happen now.
Hopkins is now 40 and he will feel it when Eastman gives it to him.
Bernard admits he has not been hit in his last 6-7 fights. I bet he hasn't been HIT in the gym either.

Taking the occasional shot off a lumbering lump like Elliot and taking constant punches from Hopkins are like chalk and cheese. Eastman can be hit and hurt, even Dann hurt him and Joppy shook him up with combos. If Hopkins lands enough leather it could finish early. Saying theres no way Eastman can be stopped is ridiculous.
