So Lauren Price has done more?
As an amateur far more and they tend to heavily reward amateur boxing. She won Olympic Gold, World Championship Gold, Commonwealth Gold. Also was a world champ as a kick-boxer and represented her country at Football.

Also, importantly, she’s got an extremely clean record and has previously dealt with the royals. Prince William gave her a birthday cake for last birthday!
I think you'll find Tyson has a very clean record.

Prince Andrew’s got a clean criminal record but no one’s going to give him any awards.

Apart from serving a drugs ban and saying stupid things about women, homosexuality and other stuff, Tyson’s fine!

Doesn’t have to have to be criminal to be on your record - there are some things that are hard to shake.

tysons said and done some silly things as we’ve all done at some point and fury has worked hard on himself and should be commended by the positive steps hes taken with his life we shouldn’t hold him to account for the rest of his life for his past misdemeanours

I could never denounce the bible, as a committed Roman catholic. Ok, I've had five kids out of wedlock and cheated a few times, but I'm not that bad.

I fully agree with you but not everyone does and I’m sure some of the people deciding who get honours don’t either.

It wasn’t a question of whether Tyson should get awarded something. I personally think he does deserve it.

It was a question of why he didn’t and unfortunately there are potentially several reasons. Lauren Price was mentioned and you would have tough task finding anything to hold against her.

It wasn't meant to drag Prices achievements down. Just Tyson's are a bit bigger.

Haven't read the thread but I suppose it's to do with nobody putting him forward for an honour.

Fury's past with failed drug tests and silly comments won't be an issue because he's been squeaky clean since he came back. Look at Linford Christie, he was a right cheating twat and was awarded an MBE and OBE.

However Tyson continues to come across unpleasantly. The Video of him chanting "Joshua is a pussy", his crass comments prior to the 3rd Wilder fight, the Jake Paul interview .. I'm sure there are many others from just last year.

As a pro Tyson’s achieved loads. As an amateur Price has achieved loads. The honours system seems to focus more on amateur high achievers. McCracken got a CBE (which certainly wasn’t for his pro work last year!) and Gal Yafai and Price got MBEs. I didn’t see anything for any pros.

What exactly does getting an honour mean other than a bunch of extra letters in your name? Does it get you any freebies? If not then what's the point? :maybe:

Yeah it’s shit, waste of time. When they make someone a knight, they should be made to wear a suit of armour and lead us into battle or something.

To be fair SPOTY doesn't carry anything like the prestige of receiving an honour, SPOTY is just a tacky ceremony that the BBC deem a major event in the sporting calendar, it's also biased towards certain sports as well.
