I dunno what that means really, but it doesn't say Bob has bad blood with Crawford, or any malice when we would all expect some from a guy like Bob who doesn't take any lip from guys who aren't under contract to him.

How did Floyd Mayweather make his biggest payday and become a gigantic superstar ?
Bob Arum played no role in that whatsoever right ?
Bob was linked with both of them remember.
How did Manny do out of that fight ?
Think about the big picture and show a little more respect for the historical movers and shakers in the sport who made many boxers who they are today.

Boxing is a very complicated sport.
There's many including Bob Arum that play the long game in order to keep things churning over year after year.
Sprinkling pixie dust and hoping beyond hope isn't enough sometimes and you need people who understand the infrastructure of the sport to make things happen.
Bob is one of those guys and should be more appreciated for his work especially considering the times in which he did it.

Wrong. Arum has talked about his most talented fighters for going on 20 years, if they are black.
FMJ, Rigo, and TCraw have been belittled by the person/company that is contracted to promote them. We know what happened with FMJ, after he bought his own contract out and went out on his own.
Do you remember what Arum said about Rigo, after he beat the snot out of Donaire? He denigrated the fighter that he was contracted to promote.
Over a year ago, Arum was similarly denigrating the most talented fighter on the planet who he was contracted to promote, Terence Crawford.
TCraw’s mistake was his loyalty to Arum. He should have gone his own way back in 2017 or even prior to that. Arum has done a piss poor job promoting TCraw, while publicly blaming him for his piss poor performance.
Make no mistake, Arum’s track record is clear with the best of the best he has been contracted to promote over the last 20 years, if they were black. And the contract is clear about what his obligations are in the TCraw case.

I do not believe in noncompete contracts, and I always make it clear that if an employee is offered a better employment contract than I can offer that person should take it. I have never had a top tier employee move on.
The ones who tend to stab me in the back are the underachievers. Their knives are dull and my skin is notoriously thick.
Bob Arum should have retired at least 20 years ago. He is a terrible promoter and equally terrible for boxing.

isnt arums ancestral roots from the middle east , i doubt he classes himself as a caucasian , and the man is money hungry why would he let colour get in the way of that in a sport that is top heavy with black boxers , be totaly pointless, i think crawford hasnt always been that attractive as a fighter to watch ever and has no real personality i raley stay up for a crawford fight , i wanted porter to beat him as i like shawn porter as a fighter and also person when he covers the boxing there is a liveliness to him a realness , but in reailty i dont know what goes on between close doors who knows

Bob Arum was great for boxing for decades, in a previous millennium. But he decayed and has been one of the biggest open sores in boxing for the beginning of this millennium.
I do NOT believe that Bob Arum is a racist. However, I do believe that he has done a rotten job promoting 3 of the best boxers of the first two decades of this century based on his flawed perception of the market, which overweights the racial characteristics.
