audley didnt know how to sell himself to the public , as some say he could actually talk and had a bit of character, but then he tryed to play the been to jail when kid card yeah if it werent for boxing id be robbing your house or selling ur kids crack route?i hate when boxers come out with that so should we be greatfull, always makes me laugh real poor people dont tell you there poor as there embrassed by it

I actually remain convinced that Haye went into that fight carrying an injury, look at how some of the awkward his shots were when Audley was hurt. Haye seems to only want to throw his right hand.
That was well known before the fight happened. Haye used to punch holes in him.

That’s amazing. Audley arguing with the comments and threatening to send Arthur Shelby over to slice some throats.
I think he’s playing in this in the hope to get some kind of payday… whether exhibition, compo with the BBC or to get on Strictly.
Surely someone with seemingly mental issues like this show more worrying traits that just dressing up in pure white clothing telling people to stop interrupting him.

they did spar and think haye was destroying him and audley come out with he was just getting into camp and haye was just finishing camp haye was all wrong for audley too quick and too accurate
It was in the US, after Audley lost to Guinn. Lennox was there and Haye wanted to impress him, so bashed Audley all over the ring. Yet another embarrassment for the big man. He just didn't have the guts.

Well this thread took a turn
I'll always be grateful to Audley for what he did for the amateur sport in this country, our track record post-2000 bears no resemblance at all to what it was before.
Didn't have the chin, heart or stamina to be a pro, though, and even if he'd turned pro a decade younger I don't think it would have gone dramatically better.
Sad to learn he's not doing so well after having given so much.
