Brook doesn't need this one. Smaller guy, won't be that much money in it and he's got nothing else to gain from it. No title, no beef, nothing.

He might go for the Eubank fight if the goading steps up but I'd rather he retired.

Exactly the fight Benn needs. If he beats Brook in a PPV fight then he will be a PPV fighter.

Not my opinion on PPV etc... Just my opinion on how the sport operates. My guess is this fight will happen.

Dazn would have to pay a squilion dollars to get brook down to 147. Be a good fight, but its as much brook vs the scales as it is brook vs benn.

I much prefer brook vs eubank. I really dont think he is way to small for 160. sure he lost his only fight at 160, but he looked good at the weight, not half dead, had flashes of success. Was just in with one of the scaryest 160 punches in recent memory. Sure brook has faded a bit, but that should be less noticeable at 160, And 2022 eubank is absolutly no 2016 GGG.

They have weight divisions for a reason. Even near to his peak there may have been reservations about putting Kell in with a fringe world level middleweight but to risk it now that he’s a much diminished fighter would be putting greed before his welfare imo especially given that Jr doesn’t really have knockout power. Kell would take a prolonged beating until either his eye sockets gave way or Dom pulled him out.

They do have weight divs for a reason. But i think its a mistake thinking about kell as a welterweight. Kell is a 154lber than killed himself to make 147 for far to long.

So to me this is a 154lber stepping up to 160 lb. could even do some kind of catchweight. I think its close enough to make.

Liam smiths also a good option.

Both these may be steps to far, But i think there less dangerous for him than benn at 147lb.... kell needs big fights 154lb plus or to retire (an option id also be happy with).

Fair comment.

It’s a shame that there are no really big fights for him at 154. The Liam Smith fight would be a good trade fight but I don’t think it has the crossover appeal to be PPV which realistically leaves either Benn or Eubank.

Maybe Benn would agree to a catch weight of say 151 if that’s what it takes to get his first PPV fight and Froch had already negotiated Eubank down to 158 in the post fight interview last night so maybe he’d agree to come down a pound or two lighter than that to get it signed.

As interested as I would undoubtedly be in both fights I’d sooner Kell walked off into the sunset right now and enjoyed his retirement

Got a feeling Conor Benn will say the same thing about many live opponents going forward.

Apparently Hearn has said he offered him a ‘significant deal’..

I think his preference by some distance is Eubank at a catch weight.

Not sure he's that bothered about this one. It's all on Benn's side.

Benn saying Brook wanted 10mil for the fight.
I can’t believe that tbh.
Benn is becoming extremely dislikeable.

If Benn had anything about him he'd be calling out a current top welterweight, not one from 10 years ago

The European champion has been calling Benn out for ages. Why doesn't he just fight him?

Not a fan of this fight tbh.

Like to see Kell retire, but if he does have one more fight it should be Eubank. Its a much bigger fight name wise and means Brook isn't having to melt down to 147 again.

Benn should fight Dave for the EBU, so we can see how good he really is.

Benn doesn't have the profile to demand such money, he needs to win a title or fight a live opponent before he talks PPV type money

But the bar to be worthy for ppv is constantly being lowered, if Benn beats Van Heerden convincingly, then Benn/Brook will be PPV just like Eubank/Brook will be

Exactly, when Benn is fighting some kind of name for a title it will be be PPV and generate plenty of money.
And with Benn you always get an all action fight.

If it was pre GGG he would enucleate Benn like Dexter in his plastic kill room... :o

But it isn't - Benn too young and fresh against a skeletal Brook. @ 147 Brook would be selling his name on a record.
