lol @ eo yapping around
At that time the most bigger stars in boxing were FMJ and Pac, and of course G would've tried to go down at 154 to fight one of them if the opportunity came out.
As for Canelo, he wasn't a big star in boxing at that time, so he didn't worth the risk for GGG to move down. And probably that was more like a lowball offer from gingerboy.
Another thing is Cotto and Canelo fought for the wbc mw title at 155 lbs lol and G was the no. 1 mandatory of that title.
What Canelo did after he got that title ? Fought a chiny ww Khan and then vacated his title to fight Beefy Smith and a washed up-drained JCCJr.
Anyway, people should think about it that the age difference between GGG and Canelo is around 9 years! So Canelo could not defeat a 9 years older G in the first fight (which actually G won it) and in the second fight Canelo had a close fight with an older G.
Now imagine if Canelo would've fought GGG in 2014 or 2015, I think the gingerboy would've been hammered by G big time.

Btw , Golovkin was willing to fight Carl Froch @ 168 lbs but we know that Carl was not willing to get that work. And Froch at that time was a better and a more dangerous fighter than Canelo or Cotto.

Froch then went on to explain why the Golovkin fight didn’t happen: “We were in talks with his manager. They were trying to get me down to 166lbs.
“That don’t sound like much weight, 2lbs below the 12 stone [super-middleweight] limit. I was a machine at 12 stone…
“I could not have lost another 2lbs and performed. They were just trying to drag me down that bit further.
“I just said, ‘Look, let’s make the fight and make it at 12 stone. You think you’re too much for me, you’ll back me up and knock me out, let’s do it at 12 stone.’
“Don’t forget I was out the ring, this was after I’d been retired a year, then the talks started to get a bit serious.
“They were just trying to drag me down to a weight division I wouldn’t have been able to do it in.
“At the time when we were talking, I was 13 stone 4lbs, a lifetime heaviest, so I’ve got to get myself down to 12 stone which would’ve been hard.
“And they were trying to drag me down even further and that’s why the fight didn’t happen.”

It'll probably be Cinco De Mayo 2023 that he's rematching Bivol.

That is the version of Froch but what is the version of GGG and his team?
"I have always said Golovkin would go to 168 for Froch from the very first conversations with Eddie Hearn earlier this year – to when I saw Carl and spoke with him in Germany,” Loeffler exclusively told World Boxing News.
“Some of our conversations are even on video that had both of us talking about making the fight at 168, so I’m not sure where he came up with GGG wouldn’t go to 168 as that has always been our position and will continue to be.
“If Carl wants to fight Golovkin it can definitely happen at 168,” he added."
I think Froch knew G ain't a hypejob, so he didn't want that work even at 168 lbs.
Btw Canelo said "let him come down to 155"(Canelo fighting Cotto for wbc mw title) and Carl said G at 172. If this is not a diplomatic way of saying no thanks GGG then I don't know what is ??

Carl Froch’s final bout was staged May 2014.
That video is six years ago.
Today’s date is the 26th June, 2022.
Would Canelo receive plaudits for calling out a fighter that retired more than two years ago?
The answer is no, but apparently there’s a completely different set of rules and standards to be applied to GGG.

Imagine GGG criticising Canelo for facing a welterweight at 155lbs, whilst aggressively mocking catchweight bouts.
And then GGG wanted Ward at 164lbs, Rolls at 164lbs and demanded that the already retired Froch compete at 166lbs and then facing the 147lb-er Brook at 160lbs.
Do you not see the craziness of your actions?
If you’re going to criticise Canelo, then you need to criticise GGG also, because you can’t grant free passes to only man, whilst condemning the other, especially when both commit the same proverbial crime.

Re: If Canelo will beat clearly GGG and Bivol, do you think he will fight Beterbiev @ 175 on Cinco de Mayo 2023 ?
I understand that. So Canelo should of got a 154 belt and challenged him at 154 or fought him at 160.
Canelos bullshit of wanting to compete for a 160 belt at 155 is trash and no one should accept it. If you want to be a champ at a weight fight at the weight.
Pretty clear point I’m making, you wanna fight for someone’s belt, do it at the weight class. Not bending to canelos every request is not the same as ducking.
Moot point really, even past prime we saw GGG beat canelo (and the judges save him with a crook draw).
The point I’ve successfully refuted relates to claims that Canelo ducked a prime GGG.
Golovkin rejected an offer from Canelo during February 2016.
And Team GGG never submitted an offer to Canelo.
K2 didn’t put forward an offer for Canelo to reject.
Therefore, why did you defend someone’s stance about Canelo ducking a prime GGG?
If Canelo had "really" wanted it, then the fight would have been "done". He's the shot caller!
Between the two, only one of them vacated the belt in order to avoid the fight.
What do those links prove?
Are you unfamiliar with GGG’s boasts?

Probably EO is very frustrated that he is not a boss or a ceo himself in real life, to show his narcissistic-ocd behaviour to his subordinates. lol
Eunuch-One would be like : You are fired! Look at my y/t and the c&p facts! These are irrefutable facts! You are fired and I'm right!
So back then Canelo was fighting for the wbc mw title vs Cotto but Canelo said: “If he wants to fight with me, let him come down to 155 and I’ll fight him whatever day he wants.” Wtf ?! lol
Then after Canelo won that mw wbc title, fought a chiny ww Khan, then vacated that title to not fight G, to fight Beefy Smith and a washed up-drained JCCJr!
As for Froch, yeah, as you saw in the video that I posted, he was blabbering about 172 lbs, that he's too big and that he's retired bla, bla, bla. A nice way to say NO to a G fight.
Golovkin was very known from the amateurs and from the sparrings by these top fighters, so thats why he was so avoided and ignored.
When Canelo, JCCJr and Quillin sparred GGG, they understood very well that G is on another level of strenght, power and skills.

When Canelo, JCCJr and Quillin sparred GGG, they understood very well that G is on another level of strenght, power and skills.
Golovkin rejected a guaranteed opportunity to face Peter Quillin. K2 refused to participate in the purse bid.
Chavez Jr. accepted the financial terms of a deal to face GGG, but then refused to sign it, because Top Rank included stipulations that committed him to a multi-fight deal.
And this was after Chavez Jr. had regularly sparred GGG.
Canelo vacated his WBC title after Mauricio Sulaimán's governing body moved the goalposts by suddenly imposing an impossible 15-day deadline for GBP & K2 to come to an agreement for the Alvarez-GGG bout, despite the fact that both Canelo and Golden Boy were physically in Florida attending court addressing the $27m All Star Boxing lawsuit.
K2 and GGG have never attempted to make a fight with Canelo. They’ve always waited for offers from the Mexican’s side.
GGG could have fought the likes of Miguel Cotto, Carl Froch, Andre Ward and Sergey Kovalev, had he attempted to prove his boasts about being capable of beating any fighter competing from 154lbs to 175lbs. He could have also fought Canelo a couple of years earlier than he eventually did.
But Golovkin was unwilling to leave his 160lbs comfort zone, because he knew this fake boast was simply a weak lie to market himself to the mainstream masses.

Canelo will never fight Beterbiev. Heck, so many people are going to avoid that animal after what he’s done to everyone he’s pasted. Maybe someone takes a bite in 5 years when the guys well past his prime, but in the shark’s den which is now, no one is going to want to fight him. He’s the kind of fighter that can evaporate a boxer’s legacy in one night and only a few rounds.
No one looking to establish a solid career legacy to hang their hat on will ever agree to put those things on the table to be demolished. I don’t blame them. This guy is bad dude. Joe Jr will be lucky to get 2 more profitable fights after that drubbing. Good for him for agreeing to try but he did as well as our girlfriends would do in 2 rounds.

Imo this is the right momentum to fight AB. Now AB's scalp is very valuable. I think with the right game plan and composure, Bivol or Canelo could outbox AB.
Actually I think Canelo (if he beats GGG) should fight AB (with a rematch&rehydration clauses of course) bc Bivol's style is all wrong for Canelo. (FMJ, Lara and Bivol)
Canelo should go for AB.

Canelo and Bivol will both comfortably defeat Beterbiev.
The only reason why Canelo and Bivol might refrain from facing Beterbiev is due to Top Rank’s insistence they compete exclusively on ESPN, even though Bob Arum knows that PPV sales are traditionally very low on that platform.
Also, Top Rank are renowned for their refusal to pay top dollar to stage marquee bouts, unless the events are partially funded by other networks and promoters, which means that Canelo and Bivol probably won’t face Beterbiev if Bob Arum is unwilling to provide DAZN with a decent sized slice of the proverbial pie.
And we already know for certain, based on his very recent remarks, that Bob Arum won’t allow Artur Beterbiev to compete on DAZN to face Dmitry Bivol.

You guys thinking that Canelo or Bivol would beat this guy need to watch more tape on AB and turn the volume up some so you can hear the punishment his paws dish out. He’s throwing anvils in both hands and on every exchange. Some may be able to have brief moments of success in the life of a fight but I just don’t see any of these guys, especially Canelo, lasting 12 rounds of that kind of punishment. Bivol, imo, will fare better but I still don’t see how he hears that final bell that no one else has heard opposite this absolute animal.

I've noticed that too before, when he fought Marcus Browne. He is pretty much sledgehammering through the flesh and the bones of his opponents. Incredible power and technique of punching.
