mind you I shouldn't complain

i mean, the fight isn't going to happen, it's boxing, something will come up.

Our motto has always been that the fans come first, and this is just another example of how we’re leading by example.”

Let's hope Davis doesn't end up in jail and we can see this.

I didn't think this of all fights would have been easy.

The boxers have been vocal, so has Showtime an DAZN, but it looks like it's always been worked on in the background.

De La Hoya on Tank-Garcia: "We Bent Over Backwards; All We Need Is to Sign on Dotted Line"

“It’s going to be one of those fights you won’t want to miss,” De La Hoya said in an Instagram Live video. “Super excited, man. Look, Golden Boy, myself, like, literally, I want to bring the best fights to you, that’s it. That’s what we do best, basically. Ryan wanted this fight. Tank wants this fight, so we’ve come to terms.

“We bent over backwards making everything happen, making sure everybody’s happy. All we need to do is sign on the dotted line. I’m happy that DAZN and Showtime are gonna work together to bring you guys this special fight.”

“We’re close,” De La Hoya added. “We’re waiting for the contracts to be signed. That’s basically it. Both fighters want it, we all agreed on everything. Like I said, we’re extremely proud, extremely, extremely proud to be bringing you this big fight.”

“Let’s talk about who we think is going to win,” De La Hoya said. “I have to go with Ryan, obviously, because he’s my Golden boy fighter. But not only that, I think that Ryan has the speed, power, the intellect, the ring generalship, he has that height, he has that quick-twitch movement.

"It’s gonna be interesting. It’s gonna be fun to watch. It’s one of those fights whoever makes the first mistake is gonna get caught and possibly get knocked out which is why you don’t want to miss this fight.”

This is the softest "Name" fighter that Tank has out there for him as an option, but still...he's a name so I'm sure Tank and his people are pretty scared about it.

So true. We are excited about a name guy finally going up against Davis. Albeit a second tier guy against an alleged 3 weight world champ

I'd like this fight to go ahead. I have no idea how good/bad Tank is. Or what his ideal weight class is either :maybe:
I've never been so unsure of a so called top fighter before. Tank has been so carefully managed and matched I don't know what to think about him.

I think it's 50-50 whether Tank goes to jail or Ryan has a mental breakdown to stop the fight from happening. Without twitter or instagram, Garcia isn't much of a name.

I shouldn't laugh about jail or mental health, but that's funny

:OhYes: Wasn't trying to make a joke, just being honest. RG seems overly sensitive, and Tank is a bit Broner-like.

They re starting to promote this fight with some fake "beef" and allegations. Its a big business. Their careers were wisely built up. Very good marketing.

Tanks best wins are Pedraza and Cruz

Garcia's best wins are social media and Campbell

If this fight will really happen I got Tank by T/KO. Tank is a cagey-patient fighter with good counter punching skills.

How has Tank actually been making per fight? Surely not as much as he's claiming

🤣 I guess you can claim social media a win, if Fury can call Chisora a win.

The 136 pound catchweight is Tank or Tank's management way of saying they're a little scared Garcia might take his title.
