Close, just under five years to get to the #1 contender position for a title.

Not too bad in the scheme of things, but the late start, and his world level amateur experience should have ensured a faster trajectory. He also did six rounders prior to completely turning pro..
It is also the money. Champs don't need to fight 50 times to retire on.Thomastearns wrote: ↑21 Sep 2022, 12:38KiwiRider wrote: ↑21 Sep 2022, 06:19Close, just under five years to get to the #1 contender position for a title.

Unfortunately, ever since the drug fuelled Fury got his belt off Wlad and ran from the contracted rematch, (and title defences) there's been a terrible traffic jam at the top of the HW tree (big pharma's plandemic didn't help much either).
It's now late 2022 and Fury's still at it.
Why doesn't he sign his own contract that AJ has already agreed to?
Negotiations with the tight fisted Fury makes most divorce settlements look like a gentle stroll in the park.
Sounds about right. It's hard to imagine Parker, who has always been timid in big fights, somehow dealing with Joyce onslaught or fighting back,
