There should be a one million cap on all fighter's purses. This one fight a year crap is another road block.

We all know about Joyce's weaknesses but his strengths are easier to overlook.

Watching the press conference it's apparent that there's nothing that the Parker camp can say that could have the slightest psychological on Joyce.

It also doesn't look as if Ismael Salas is going to have too much effect upon the way that Joe Joyce boxes.

And that's probably a good thing.

Andy Lee is trying to claim that Parker is potentially a far better boxer than Joe but I don't think too many are convinced.

In fact it might even be the other way around.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see whether Parker can stay out of harm's way for the whole 12 rounds on Saturday, or whether he's going to get eventually dismantled by Joyce's jab the way that Dubios did.

Parker has never been a trash talker, or that interesting to listen to either.
The change of trainers is going to benefit Parker, I think Joyce is about as finished an article as he can be unless there is a way to use a time crystal as a suppository and bring him up to current earth speed.

I usually b*tch and moan about these nothing PPVs, but there are at least 3 fights on the undercard that could be very entertaining, not to mention how I feel the main event is close to 50/50 as any heavyweight fight this year.

Put my dollar on Parker to win at +140. Joyce was -200.

If I were into betting large on sports I think I'd have a go here with Parker. 1 dollar returns 2.40. 1 dollar on Joyce returning 1.50.

I'm surprised people are this down on Parker even though he is not the A side capable of getting any home cooking. I think he has the goods to make it the distance and that he should win more rounds along the way.

I hope it turns into a war though. I think both these guys are tough and very evenly matched. If they box a ton Parker has better odds but the show will be worse. They are capable of giving us a damn good show if they get into a war. Hopefully there are at least a few rounds where they are really exchanging a lot. Looking forward to watching this.

I honestly think Parker's weight is a problem here and his best weight is about 20lb south of what he weighed in at. He has had stamina issues before and they are likely to be exacerbated by coming in this heavy. I was slightly favouring Joyce before, but now even moreso.

I also favour Joyce. I'm betting Parker won't be able to handle the pressure. Joyce will do damage down the stretch, potentially a stoppage.

From what Andy Lee was saying it appears that they're planning a repeat of the hit and run fight with Ruiz.

I hope Joyce is ready for that.
