spark a bit froch like here with this big charges and flurries of shots, which trouble love. but he's not doing them enough. he's clearly a lot stronger than love but love is able to outwork and outbox him for long stretches.

so love was cut by clash of heads

checked him out for a minute, then the fight continued

spark was all over him. love grabbed spark and pushed him back to the ropes, then pushed him fully over. a flagrant foul no doubt. i wish it would've continued though

Love was looking for a way out. He told the doctor he couldn't see. He was going to lose that fight one way or another.

You gotta DQ that i think.. its a shame but you do something that dangerouse on pourpose you kinda gotta punnish it. he was clearly fine, but throwing someone over the top rope has gotta be instand DQ really.

otherwise you create that situation where you reward the opponent for acting hurt and not continuing or punnish the opponent for being tough and continuing.

Good card... Tough ending.

Never seen a fighter thrown out of a ring live before. Don't really blame the ref for calling the fight amidst the chaos. Rematch should be interesting!

There's a rarely used 2 point deduction a ref can use, but if you don't stop the fight the chances of a repeat flagrant foul occurring are huge.

Love is a broner type, Spark is just a good bloke, Ed is a fast car salesman.

Can you imagine what ed would be saying if spark threw his boy out the ring. would go somthing like...Eddie: "its lucky he didnt break his neck, spark should be banned for life, this is the sweet science not WWE"

Spark did throw his boy out of the ring. Whilst Eddie promotes both, Love is the one with the bigger upside.

I really enjoyed the show. The Mattice fight was excellent. Good finish by Ford and I was impressed with Hitchens.

The Love/Spark fight was really good too. Was warming up nicely. The ref should have deducted a point or two and let it continue.

I know it shouldn’t matter but Spark landed on his feet and was fine to continue. The ref seemed to waive it off straight away rather than give himself a minute, speak with the comission and then make a decision. They may have ended up with the same call but once the ref has made a decision you can’t go back on it really.

Yeh, it was choreographed it well. Landed on his feet. The ref could have take a couple of mins before waving it off. Assessed the situation then decided.

Phinn wins a UD, 100-90, 99-91 and 98-92, I agreed with the 99-91 card, not a great fight, Phinn a clear winner but not a great fight, Belujski never offered much apart from toughness, the commentary seemed to think Phinn was on his way to stopping him down the stretch but never looked that way to me, Phinn did turn it on slightly but he's no great shakes himself, very musclebound, looks strong but never hurt Belujski with the type of shots which looked like knocking him out, Belujski offered very little so Phinn had to make do with a routine UD

I know you can't be throwing guys out the ring but that's a harsh DQ, a point or 2 off would've sufficed, Spark fortunately landed on his feet, crappy ending to an entertaining fight, Love looks sharp from that southpaw stance but Spark put him down in the 2nd with a combination, a right hand was the shot that put Love down, Spark couldn't capitalise though and Love boxed his way back into things, Spark turned it back on in the 5th though and Love didn't like the pressure then a headclash left Love cut in the 6th, doc took a long look and Love sounded like he didn't want to go on but it did then he wrestled Spark over the top rope and out the ring, can't be doing that but the ref gave a kneejerk reaction and DQ'd Love straight away, awful officiating, what was he playing at?

Love obviously sucks and he's just another Broner, but the stoppage was bad because it was a DQ without any point deductions before, while the foul wasn't severe, since Spark didn't receive any damage.
