It was a straight right that opened the cut and they DQd him because after taking 2 points away Green was still in front on all 3 cards.

not trying to discredit Green, but Lucas really seemed a shadow of his former self when he returned from his thyroid problem

Bill Clancy was the ref.
Yes i remember it being Bill Clancy and he is usually a solid enough ref, i meant does anybody know who the ref might be for the rematch??

I moved Sven Ottke ahead of Joe Calzaghe in the Super Middleweight rankings after he defeated Mitchell, Ottke remained at 1 untill he retired.

The winner definately goes to number 1 in my view, Calzaghe has become complacent...fight the best available or prepare to be overtaken Joe...simple as

Yes that's right as i recall, it was absolute bedlam, with the referee being harrassed by the WBC officials, as well as Beyer's corner, promoters and managers. It was nothing short of a fornicating disgrace.

Well, let's hope that Roger Tillerman (sp) isn't in charge.
Incidentally, does anyone know if he's been in charge of any fights since the Ottke - Reid fight? Because he was a disgrace.
