Was a good win.

Good matchmaking. Better than bringing in some taxi driver.

6-4 or 7-3 and a KD - 2x fair decisions.
I thought one judge might like BC
99-91 is poor.

Great for these guys to be headlining a show on normal telly. :TU:

I would imagine Boris got a decent payday (relatively) as he saved the show.prob more than all his other purses combined

Conah Walker walks out to “Gordon Brown” by The Stranglers. :maybe:

Walker nicks a close, dull feeling-out R1
just by coming forward a bit.
10-9 CW

Close and “what you like?” :maybe:
I think Gardner might be taking over.
Decent fight.

Had Arthur winning 98-91 but can see how it's close e, Crighton was strong and game, put it on Arthur a couple of times but for me it was a boring Arthur win, boxed behind a jab for 10 rounds barely let the right hand go, scored a lovely knockdown in the last when he did but boxed most rounds as if they were feeling out 1st rounds and just quietly boringly picked up rounds

Arthur was deeply unimpressive again, that low left hand is an accident waiting to happen, he’s gonna get absolutely cleaned out next time he meets somebody at world level which probably won’t be in his next fight - which was gleefully announced by high as a kite Kalle as an IBO “world title” fight.

Credit to Crighton, he gave a really good account of himself

Damn, gotta feel sorry for the boxing folk at CH5, doing their level best to serve up an exciting free to air fight, valiantly hyping things to the heavens..then get handed the sleep inducing buzz kill Arthur - you could feel the enthusiasm drain away within 2 minutes of the opening bell…

The bingo hall style ring announcer didn’t help, and who was that celeb they had in the ring, as soon as he opened his mouth, I almost fell out my chair to hit the fast forward button.

I was hoping to see that prospect that Billy Nelson posted about, but don’t think they showed him

The Sauerland’s are proper going down the social media route aren’t they with stuff like this and Misfits.
He's an absolute unit ,played footy for the cobblers at one time .
Not really built for it , imagine having the job of marking him .
Had a few spells there didn’t he?

Always found the media love-in towards him pretty insufferable and him a massive attention seeker. Can remember when he wrestled the ball off the regular penalty taker in the last minute of a playoff final at Wembley so he could take it. He was getting released straight after too.

Arthur is crap. Lost all respect for him when he quit against Yarde.

True - the sport, promoters managers and boxers don't help themselves at all.

The only reason the Crighton v Arthur main event was worth watching is because Boris tried to make a fight of it. Late notice call up so Crighton seemed wary of starting too quick and wanted to pace himself. Understandable, but he had the beating of Arthur. He had to apply more pressure and bamboozle Arthur with heavy shots. Anyway, Arthur won fair and square but is nothing more than a rich-man's Matthew Barney

Really enjoyable 8 rounder between Gardner v Walker in the chief support
Thank you to Channel 5 for showing the full 8 rounds :salut:

Switched off after that as the women's boxing was on next  I laugh, but probably a terrible waste of one of the other fights on the card :verysad:
