very competitive fight and not the worst decision, but defo a generous one to gollaz there. outside a few rounds and obviously the kd round, spark was giving him 2 for every 1 and having more of an impact

Had it 8 rounds to two plus the knock down. Competitive rounds but one sided fight. Poor judging.

Huge respect to Ryder, he’s fighting back while taking a beating. Rd 6 was his best rd.

Terrible fight. Ryder has a chin bit that's all. Canelo needs to fight Benavidez next.

118 - 108 Canelo. I thought Ryder was done after the first KD, but he came back with heart and showed something other than being hard. Masterful performance by Alvarez, but he seemed more cautios and static than before (could it be due to the unfavourable weight jumps).

Hope he faces ASAP either Benavidez or Morrell, he has no business into challenging again Bivol.

Yup Benavidez or bust, but if he does want to fight Bivol, it's now or never too. He's regressing now. The fact that a dud like Ryder hung in there that long wasn't a good sign. Ryder had sneaky punches, but the dude had no power and couldn't get Canlo's respect outside of being a freaking cement punching bag. Dude took some hellacious temple shots.

Something clearly isnt the same with Canelo. He was never the greatest mover in the ring but he's now decidedly becoming more static.

Could it be that at only 32 he's already no longer the fighter of 3/4 years ago?

If so, then it's worth remembering that GGG was 35 when they first met.

At this rate of decline both Benavidez and Bivol are now getting beyond Canelo's reach.

The Benavidez fight indeed could be a disaster.

There's not a lot of options left for Canelo now but I don't think we'll be seeing him fighting at 35.
