It’s not really ‘retiring,’ more just a year out. The reality has got to be with a baby on the way and a highly mobile/skilled Ukrainian on the loose, for a fighter worried about losing it seems kind of wise to see if the main players around him might get old overnight. Usyk can’t have that long left now.

Must admit. I also think that Joyce sounds a bit punchy. And I'd agree that sooner or later this sport will catch up with a lot of them. The brain isn't designed to be bashed around multiple times a day when sparring, never mind fighting. I still love the sport, albeit nowhere near as much as I used to. I've always felt that Fury has played at it, even from reading about him as an amateur in boxing news. Ffs he couldn't even throw a straight jab when he first turned pro. He did surprise me however with his win over Wlad, and I begrudgingly respected him for it. I just think now though that my gut instinct was right all along. He's completely took the piss out of the sport. I wasn't thrilled at the Wilder trilogy, was pissed off to no end with the Chisora 3 fight, and the Usyk fiasco has put the nail in his coffin for me.
He could potentially gain "some" respect if he fights Usyk, Joshua and either Joyce or Ruiz.
The problem is, every one of them is a danger to his "0".
Were more likely to get Wallin, Whyte or Parker again.

And Fury would be 'honest' or 'thick' enough to tell the public he is doing so to give his great mate Joe Parker a pay day .. his fans here would love him even more for it too
