Wayne's a carer for disabled kids in Manchester I believe. I know his dad.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑03 Jun 2023, 08:07It's the ending that makes the fight for me .
By rights, in the letter of the law, Ayers should have been DQ'd for refusing to fight on, but the ref did the right thing, Rigby was taking a sustained beating, and it was only going one way.
I'd love to interview the two of them, apparently Michael Ayers drinks in Chiswick someone said, I wonder where Wayne Rigby is these days?
Yes. Elland Road in his 16th fight, live on BBC 1 for the British Title. Imagine that now. And it was midweek.TheLeprechaun wrote: ↑05 Jun 2023, 16:56 Wharton had some following when he was coming through didn't he? I watched some of his early fights a while back and the atmosphere was electric.
Not nitpicking Mickey but Froch-Pascal was Hennessy. Hennessy had a good stable - Froch, Fury, Barker, Murray. Shame ITV pulled the plug. He seemed to have no problem letting Fury fight on a Hearn undercard (Sykes-Morris in Huddersfield) and went ahead with Fury's fights with McDermott on Maloney's shows. Take note Ben Shalom.mickey1975 wrote: ↑31 May 2023, 03:05Four? I’d throw in my guy Carl Johanneson v Kevin Mitchell, a truly great fight also on a FW card. Matchroom had four there too, Hobson two and Maloney one.Steveh583 wrote: ↑30 May 2023, 17:31 Benn vs McClellan
Calzaghe vs lacy
Brodie vs chi 1

Froch vs bute
Froch vs pascal
Woods vs hoye
Moore vs macklin
Hatton vs tsyzu
Basically too many to mention. I tell you what, he gets a lot of stick, but how many of these did FW put on?
Yes, my mistake, George Groves was also on at Huddersfield one night i was there, Sykes v Johanneson, as was Carl Frampton that night.Cholo_cws wrote: ↑06 Jun 2023, 06:39Not nitpicking Mickey but Froch-Pascal was Hennessy.
