STILL won't happen anytime soon. Who the eff knows what's gonna happen in a couple of years.
True, but what we do know is Crawford turns 36 next week and in a couple of years will be 38. In a couple of years Canelo will be 35 and in the 20th year of his pro career. The chance for this fight happening won't be around for long.

yup, time is flying away pretty fast. I think TC would take the Canelo fight if the opportunity comes. Too much money to refuse.

In a recent interview TC Now seems Very interested in facing Canelo for a bout at 168.

Of course. He ain't getting any younger and he'd need to secure his future from a financial standpoint. CANELO PAYDAY , PAYDAY!

Its just Funny how quickly TC drew that conclusion, once he had just a slight bit of time to think about different things.

Really No Surprise though, as you basically metaphorically stated, Its Really All about The Money, after all is said and done.

TC is 40-0 and Is now usually rated LB for LB number one, or at least tied with Canelo for the number 1 "lb4lb" spot.

He's going to be turning 36 Very Soon though, and That Age is Apparently That Special Milestone Point, at least for TC it is.

He Made a Gigantic PayDay in The Spence bout, but obviously, it's Not Quite Enough Boxing Career Earnings for TC.

As a fan, I'm Quite Glad and Very Anticipative, and Also Extremely Curious, and Only Hopefull rather than Certain, to get to see that bout get made.

I guess at this point it's going to depend on what happens on September 30th.
Honestly, I wouldn't be much surprised if Jermell pulls off the upset.
At that point, TC vs Canelo would obviously lose about 99% of it's appeal.

Unless of course Canelo beat Jermell in a rematch, proving the first bout to be a fluke.
Overall I really want to see TC vs Canelo. There is just something Extra Intriguing about that particular bout.
Unless Canelo somehow loses badly to Jermell of course.
My take on a Very Possible TC vs JC bout is that I see it being Good and all, but just not As Good as T.C vs C.A.

Mell ain't gonna last 12 rds vs Canelo. Canelo is gonna stop him.

TC is a much better fight for Canelo than Charlos imo. TC would not have to make 168 , he could come up at 161, 162 lbs for Canelo.

Anyway these are just business fights. Canelo should face fighters like Bena/Andrade, Bivol/Beterbiev winner, Morrell Jr.

Absolutely agree with you're take on TC, fighting Canelo, while weighing in the low 160's.
That's what I'd have TC weigh, if I were his trainer. I'd emphasize speed, elusiveness and stamina, over strength and power.
Let Canelo struggle to make 168 and then rehydrate all he wants, to 185, for all I care. It's whatever at that point.
They're showdown boxing bout will be an irrelevant thing as far as weight difference in my own personal Strong Opinion.

TC is a Definitive Throwback to the Legendary Sam Langford.
He's basically A Light heavyweight Trapped in a Welterweight body.
With Langford I think it was initially, A Heavyweight trapped in a Welter Body, but I digress.
It's A very similar scenario, as far as they're respective comparisons, is my Main Point.

For me, he could win a big fight above 147 to legitimize it like to win a belt at 160 lbs. I think he is too small to do that though.
