I think most people could've executed a great game plan against Klitschko that night. All you had to do was show up, and breathe. You can't lose to a guy that won't fight.

I liked Fury fine until he chose to face the last couple guys over Usyk. I thought with Joshua out of the picture after his Wilder drama, that we were finally going to get an undisputed champion but no. And will he retire after Ngannou rather than face Usyk assuming Usyk wins again on Saturday? Roy Jones seems to think that Fury Usyk will be an ugly fight also.

Perhaps this is another sticking point in any Fury v Usyk showdown?

Usyk is not one to fazed in the slightest by anything Fury might say and neither is he going give Fury every conceivable concession going in.

For all of Wilder's bluster, I think we all understand he's just a big softy at heart.

If you are fighting Fury, unless you are as full of b.s. as someone like 'Big Baby' Miller, you are best not to engage with Fury pre-fight.

Whyte was smart to not engage with Fury when they fought. I know the given reason was Whyte wasn't making as much as he wanted to, so he refused to promote the fight but it saved him from Fury getting into his head too much. As for their actual contest in the ring, Well, just levels. Master vs apprentice stuff.

Anthony Joshua v Deontay Wilder: Terms agreed for heavyweight fight, says promoter Eddie Hearn

Terms have been agreed for Anthony Joshua to fight Deontay Wilder - but the Briton may walk away if contracts are not agreed soon, Eddie Hearn says.

Promoter Hearn said Joshua could fight Tyson Fury instead, while a third go at Andy Ruiz Jr is also on the cards.

Former two-time heavyweight champion Joshua has been strongly linked with fighting Wilder with a December date in Saudi Arabia touted in recent months.

"We've agreed the money, we've agreed everything," said Hearn.

Speaking to BBC 5 Live Boxing, Hearn, who has promoted Joshua since he made his professional debut in 2013, said: "We're waiting on the official contract, but we won't wait forever."

He said Saudi Arabia as a potential location had been complicated by "a change of environment in Saudi Arabia with the operators in boxing".

Joshua, 33, has picked up two victories this year over Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius respectively, following consecutive defeats to unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

"He [Joshua] is just training away but he wants Wilder," added Hearn, who said the 2012 Olympic gold medallist wants to remain active.

"If it can't be made, he wants to stay active. If he fights in December, that'll be three fights in eight months which is incredible for him."

However, Hearn believes a super fight between Joshua and WBC heavyweight champion Fury could still be in contention, should a deal with Skills Challenge Entertainment, who Hearn has been negotiating with for the Wilder fight, fall through.

i dont think Those agreed terms arnt fresh, so a journolist kicking it up again is a bit cheeky. Terms have been agreed for months.

From what I'm hearing Joshua v Wilder is off.
Sounds like they're trying to salvage it by talking about looking for different venues because the Saudis pulled out.
Possibility Joshua will follow Tyson Fury's October fight with a December date and set up a blockbuster Fury v Joshua meeting in the first quarter of 2024.

Terms agreed and no contracts equates to no progress since we last heard anything.

Wilder vs aj in Saudi supposedly dead. Can’t see that fight happening right now.

Wilder should call out usyk, 3 belts there and I think usyk would take it, surely good money in that.

Usyk would get stripped by the IBF. So can't see that even being on the table. Wilder should call out winner of Zhang v Joyce if he wants to position himself for a fight with Usyk. Of course, if he doesn't fancy such a hard fight, then perhaps he can go the WBA route and call out the winner of Charr v Miller for the regular strap ( = mandatory?)

Something tells me Wilder would opt for the winner of Charr v Miller, than Zhang v Joyce

Spot on, it's such a natural fight and a huge one to boot.

It's a genuine 50/50 fight too, although I ought to shut up about 50/50 fights as I thought Inoue/Fulton and Crawford/Spence were going to be 50/50 fights and they turned out to be 90/10 fights!
