Gassiev did next to nothing besides chasing Wallin and eating jabs so far.
The punches are taking toll on him.
Wallin doing good on his bike.
6-1 or 7-0 Wallin.
a lot of these jabs not landing to me. all gloves
Tommy Fury jabs!

Wallin has probably feather dusted his way to victory there

Wallin wins by split decision.
The 2 115-113 scores were fine, but the other score was not realistic.

'can't be reached' shite!
Was the same for me.
I had to try a couple browsers out, until one was finally working.

otter by split is about right, 90 percent of his shots were pulled air punches, many that were arguably more feints than punches, but gassiev hardly got off anything of his own.

Wallin took some clean hits there. definitely got his attention, but he took them well. never seen so many 'jabs' though in a fight.

id say about 5 percent of those jabs actually landed. and yet despite that wallin's win was fair enough, gassiev really has issues with movement. needs guys to be still to unload. wallin took the shots that did land well too

guess he tried to solve that issue by coming in light, at his old cruiser weight.
seems it didn't help much.
going by the comments that must've been an absolute stinker of a 'fight'.

ya it was stinky. otter moving and air jabbing non stop. gassiev plodding forward. doing an occassional burst of more eye catching but far less regular work.
like hughie-parker, though not quite as bad as that garbage. they did open up more a bit late on

Otto should have a W over Blubbo. Wallin is the HW enigma.

Split dec is a joke. Gassiev lost almost every round. He wasn't boxing at all, he landed so few good punches.

First of all, this was a B-level fight. If those guys intend to shoot for the heavyweight top 10, they will have to work a lot harder.
Gassiev was eating jabs from the first to the last round. He had some moments in some rounds, but way insufficient to win. The judge who scored 117:111 in his favour is a total id*ot. Even the two others scoring it that close are some poor decision, but at least it's the right one - Wallin won.

95 percent of those jabs werent landing, it was a hughie fury jab fest from wallin, pulled air punches that werent even thrown to land. many im not sure id actually count as punches, more like feints. with how little gassiev did, wallin deserved it, but both guys had pretty meaningless scoring for the most part
in the last two rounds, they fought it out a bit more. if it had been like that from the start it might have been a salvageable fight

There were political and locational factors in the fight though: if Wallin had been hurt there could have easily been a premature stoppage judging by those scorecards and Wallin had only been stopped once in his entire boxing career; the only time he fought in Turkey as an amateur.
Boxrec and Eyeonthering had Wallin winning wider than the scorecards suggested. Wallin left money on the table though by not utilising his size, it was a very clean boxing match.

i don't think there's much dispute about wallin winning, but the large majority of those jabs were pulled air punches and there were so few notable shots between them that even just a half decent shot from gassiev wouldve swung a lot of rounds, but he couldnt muster it. and tbf to otter his defense was pretty good, gas couldnt tag him clean.
115-113/116-112 fight i thought, with very few wide rounds
